The result of the discussion was retarget to Allen C. Fuller. Jafeluv (talk) 10:22, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. There is no "Allen Fuller" in the encyclopedia at all, much less an ambiguous collection of them at the target disambig page. bd2412 T 17:38, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

  • Delete. We do have an article on William Allen Fuller, but I can find no evidence that he was commonly referred to without his first name, and his article should be high in the search results if this redirect is deleted. We do not have any articles for Alan Fuller, Alen Fuller or Allan Fuller which would be good targets for a {{R from misspelling}} redirect. Finally, while there are several people called "Allen Fuller" that Google knows about, none gives the appearance of being notable for our purposes (at least at this time). There being no good targets for the redirect, I think deletion is the best answer. Thryduulf (talk) 18:06, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment- Findagrave lists 47, though does not mark any as famous; includes a confederate lieutenant, several veterans, one captain (branch not given), no indication of WP:Soldier, and two clergy without claims. The Political Graveyard, however, lists an Adjutant General of Illinois 1861-1865) who should meet WP:Politician, and for whom an article is likely to be written eventually assuming sufficient information is sourced. Adjutant general of Illinois has not yet been created, or would be a better destination; possible to leave redirect and list at Fuller with the likelihood of his inclusion at a later date. Dru of Id (talk) 11:02, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Adjutant General Allen Curtis Fuller is certainly notable, being the AG of Illinois during the American civil war, having some 140 regiments under his command, and being eponymised in Camp Fuller, and apparently a library. His biography was apparently written in 1902 by Charles A Church, who certainly gave a discourse on his life to the Chicago Historical Society. Rich Farmbrough, 23:51, 21 November 2011 (UTC).
      • This is a fine solution. Unless more Allen Fullers are added, I think this result will sit. Cheers! bd2412 T 12:35, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
  • Endorse retarget to Allen C. Fuller. Good work by Rich Farmbrough! Bridgeplayer (talk) 00:51, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Amerikka, Finland

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. There just doesn't seem to be any need to keep this page. DAB pages are for disambiguating between existing articles, and redirects should point to someplace that gives information on the redirect term. ♠PMC(talk) 22:42, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. Redirect to a disambiguation page that provides no solution relevant to the redirected term. bd2412 T 17:32, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

  • There is a village called "Amerikka" (Finnish for "America") in the Vieremä municipality (municipalities in Finland seem to roughly equate to counties in the USA), but beyond its existence I can't find anything. The only mention in the Finnish Wikipedia seems to be an entry in a list of villages in Vieremä (see fi:Vieremä#Kyliä). As a populated place, if its existence is verifiable, it is notable for inclusion by long-standing convention. However if all we can say about it its name and location, it may be better to just have it on a list as the Finnish Wikipedia does. So retarget to Vieremä if the list is added there, otherwise delete per WP:RED. I will leave a note about this discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Finland. Thryduulf (talk) 17:54, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Disambiguate per Rich Farmbrough below. Thryduulf (talk) 01:57, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Finland seems to have 14 locations named "Amerikka" (see [1]), including two that are classified as "village, district or neighborhood" (one in Iisalmi and another in Vieremä). All populated places are considered notable, yes. But these are both just very small parts of larger populated places that we already have articles on (the municipalities). I don't see how individual articles could be written about them. --KFP (contact - edits) 14:48, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • We could in theory have a set index at List of places named Amerikka, Finland, providing the coordinates and a brief bit of information on each such place, but such a listing would be better incorporated into an article listing places in Finland generally. bd2412 T 17:13, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
  • Disambiguate I've created the disambig so that people can see what it would end up like. Rich Farmbrough, 22:01, 21 November 2011 (UTC).
    • I would support disambiguation if we actually had multiple articles on the place name, or at least mentioning it. As it stands, it seems we have only one. bd2412 T 02:45, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
  • Delete. The main purpose of disambiguation is to disambiguate between existing articles (or articles that are likely to be created). However no article exists for any settlement named "Amerikka", nor they are mentioned in any article. So, the created dab page violates WP:DBPAGES. Ruslik_Zero 16:05, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Wikipedia has nothing to say about this topic at the moment. Until it does, this page should be deleted. — This, that, and the other (talk) 09:30, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • keep as disambig reasonable thing to have as disambig if people come looking for one of the villages. Hobit (talk) 20:19, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Domestic discipline

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was converted to a disambiguation page. Thryduulf (talk) 04:07, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article was previously deleted here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Domestic_discipline and has since been recreated as a redirect to Domestic violence. This is not appropriate as the modern usage is about consensual adult spanking mostly among Christians. Maybe it could be redirected to Discipline or Erotic spanking but neither of those seem appropriate either. I really think it should just be deleted again as per the original AfD. Mystylplx (talk) 14:49, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Disambiguate between Spanking, Erotic spanking, Domestic violence and Corporal punishment in the home with a see also to Christianity and domestic violence. Possibly BDSM and Dominance and submission should be there too. There are multiple meanings of the term and none of them has it's own article, so a dab page is the way to go. Thryduulf (talk) 15:01, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate as per Thryduulf. I've created the disambig so that people can see what it would end up like. - TexasAndroid (talk) 15:21, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate as per Thryduulf. Shame page got deleted, it's undoubtedly several notable phenomena. Rich Farmbrough, 22:03, 21 November 2011 (UTC).
  • Disambiguate. Seems logical enough to me. Kaldari (talk) 07:19, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate Though none of the linked pages really have the same meaning at least it will prevent any further inappropriate hard redirects.Mystylplx (talk) 12:29, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Note I think this is settled and should probably be closed. The template has already been removed from the page. The disambig page looks good. Let's call this "done." Mystylplx (talk) 22:32, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Don Bartolo

The result of the discussion was: Speedily redirected to List of True Blood characters#Don Bartolo. Rich Farmbrough, 15:36, 21 November 2011 (UTC). (Per WP:SNOW)

Delete. Redirects to article that does not have a single mention of "Don", "Bartolo" or "Don Bartolo" in it. Apparently WP:NN & implausible redirect. Srobak (talk) 14:11, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
