Fails WP:NFCC#3 and WP:NFCC#8 as a duplicative screenshot of an older version of the program when a screenshot of a newer version is already on the page. RJaguar3 | u | t 00:00, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep: I see no violation of WP:NFCC#3 (no another screenshot of Sound Recorder from Windows 3.1 on Sound Recorder page. No breach of WP:NFCC#8, as the image significantly improves the article by providing showing the early version of this long-standing piece of software. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talktrack) 16:41, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • WP:NFCC#3a refers to the non-free content in the entire article: "Multiple items of non-free content are not used if one item can convey equivalent significant information." Thus, the NFCC#3a issue is not whether there is another screenshot of the same version, but whether there is another non-free screenshot on the Sound Recorder article. Further, I doubt WP:NFCC#8 justifies the usage of the non-free image of the old version; there are no sources in the article specifically describing the Windows 3.1 version. Since there are no reliable sources in the article describing the Windows 3.1 interface, the image of an old version fails contextual significance. RJaguar3 | u | t 13:41, 17 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
      • The significant information in these screenshots is look and feel of the software in question. The Vista image alone is not sufficient, because it says nothing about the way this software looked in 10 years of its existance before Vista was released. Major overhaul in its visual design mandates two illustrations, and this file seems to be good fit for one of them. Both criteria you've mentioned allow it. — Dmitrij D. This image is just the table in page 86 of the PDF from the Zambian Electoral Commission website. Data like this needs to be cited properly using citation templates rather than using screenshots. Green Giant (talk) 00:21, 10 June 2014 (UTC) Green Giant (talk) 00:21, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No source is given for this table which is used to illustrate a point on an article instead of using citation templates and stating where the information came from. Green Giant (talk) 00:33, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
