WP:CRUFT. Configuration of gameboard from game show not necessary for understanding of topic. The individual contents of each square are not important, and fan art contains unexplained acronyms and symbols not discussed elsewhere in the article. Contents of each square are also unsourced, and article content only references contents of two to three individual squares. AldezD (talk) 13:04, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Strong keep. The layout of the gameboard is important for an understanding of why being able to stop the light on two particular spaces on the board is so advantageous (because they always contain cash plus an additional spin, preventing both the chance of a whammy and of losing all one's spins by attrition). At a minimum, the contents of squares #4 and #8 are important, for the reason just described. AldezD's condemnation of the picture as "fan art" is irrelevant and opposed to the goal of producing a free content encyclopedia, which includes making free images wherever possible over using non-free images (see WP:NFCC#1). The abbreviations used may need some explanation, but this could be done through uploading a new derivative image or a better caption—not through outright deletion of the image. The contents can certainly be sourced to the Larsen episodes themselves under WP:SELFPUB, and it can be supplemented by documentaries like Big Bucks: The Press Your Luck Scandal specifically covering the episode. WP:NOR is not applicable to images, "so long as they do not illustrate or introduce unpublished ideas or arguments" (WP:OI); this image merely describes the layout of the board as can be confirmed by viewing the episode. Lastly, displaying the contents of the entire board is helpful to readers who may not be familiar with the layout of the big board (including whammies, spaces with cash but no additional spin, etc.); it will help them understand exactly what made spaces #4 and #8 so important, an essential part of Larson's game-breaking exploit. Fails WP:NFCC#3 and WP:NFCC#8 as a duplicative screenshot of an older version of the program when a screenshot of a newer version is already on the page. RJaguar3 | u | t 23:59, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
