Hi Ekem. Thanks for creating this article, it was certainly an eye-opener. Do you happen to know how on earth this drug got classified as an 'orphan drug', which I understand is supposed to cover drugs that treat extremely rare diseases, when premature birth isn't rare by any stretch of the imagination? I read a couple of the refs but none seem to pick up on this, so I wondered if you knew more.

- The FDA defines "rare diseases" in this context as diseases affecting less than 200,000 people annually and the company estimates that 150,000 women would be candidates, - remember that to be a candidate for the drug you need to have had at least one premature birth before, and women with twins or more are also excluded, as studies have shown the drug to be ineffective.
