@Connasuf: It looks like you think that the subject's name should be spelled with a fada. Instead of continuing to revert, can you provide some sources here to support that change? If you just keep reverting, they'll end up blocking you, which nobody wants. agtx22:32, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Reliable sources = any Irish to English dictionary. Sean meaning old, aged or elderly. Séan meaning deny, recant, disclaim or index etc. Seán = the name. Connasuf (talk) 22:46, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As I explained on your talk page, please have a look at WP:COMMONNAME. We use the name that a person is commonly known by. Here, there are no sources I see demonstrating that this person uses the fada. Many, many people use the name "Sean" without a fada, and we don't impose the fada on them here. That's why Sean Connery, Sean Spicer, Sean Penn, and Sean Combs all lack the fada. agtx22:52, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
A preface wouldn't be appropriate either. End of the day, it's not inaccurate -- just a different, generally accepted spelling that this person is known by. agtx23:06, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
