Apart from the names being similar, they are making the exact same edits such as saying Steve McFadden is going to be the next 007. I've blocked as it quacks louder than a duck but requesting Checkuser as there has been recent activity from another account, wanna make sure there's no sleepers if that's possible. 5 albert square (talk) 01:30, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also it might be worth pointing out that this user only seems to vandalise articles related to EastEnders and incidentally their usernames almost always contain 'Trueman' in them and there is a Patrick Trueman in EastEnders. Either that or their username will contain something to do with EastEnders like this example using the fictional setting name of Walford. They also have a history of trying to impersonate other EastEnders editors and other admin.--5 albert square (talk) 21:29, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Similarity of username, plus the fact that this account is, similar to the sockmaster's diffs in the archive, making edits which purport that EastEnders actor Steve McFadden will be the new James Bond. Diffs: [5], [6].

The sockmaster and socks are supposed to have ACB (e.g. [7], [8]), so if this really is them, they seem to be getting aroud this. Therefore I think it would be worth checking whether the blocks need to be adjusted/check for sleeper accounts/so forth. It Is Me Here t / c 16:57, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked this user before and then realised this may be a sock of Trueman 31. Edits are similar, this one saying that Steve McFadden is to be 007 http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Steve_McFadden&diff=prev&oldid=538756778 very similar to this http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Steve_McFadden&diff=prev&oldid=155415858.

Also this one that Trueman31 says that Dot Cotton is to quit EastEnders http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dot_Cotton&diff=prev&oldid=155415460 is very similar to this one made today http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dot_Cotton&diff=next&oldid=537729153.

Finally, this user copied and pasted User:AnemoneProjectors talk page earlier http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:The_test_card_f&diff=prev&oldid=538757936, and you can see that Trueman31 seems to have a vendetta against AP, as is proved with User:Trueman 31 and Ln of X VS Anemone Projectors.

Generally, both users seem to dislike Anemone Projectors and anything related to the BBC in particular EastEnders-related articles. I blocked The test card f before I realised this is Trueman31, reporting, and given the users past history for sleeper accounts, also requesting CheckUser. 5 albert square (talk) 19:51, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It might also be worthwhile noting that his editing pattern seems to have changed very slightly. I think that this time he is including the BBC more in his vandalism. Now on this occasion he has put the BBC Test Card F on his talk page http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:The_test_card_f&diff=prev&oldid=538757303. Plus he normally includes "Trueman" in his name which is after Patrick Trueman and family, all characters from EastEnders. I think this is the first time he's included something more direct at the BBC in his name.--5 albert square (talk) 20:24, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Really the evidence speaks for itself.

As Steve mc fadden the new james bond

Both users claim that Dot Cotton will leave EastEnders http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dot_Cotton&diff=prev&oldid=540744541, plus Trueman 31 also thinks that Steve McFadden will be the new James Bond too.

As Bargain Boredem

Again, both users claim that Dot Cotton will leave EastEnders http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dot_Cotton&diff=prev&oldid=539006983. Bargain Boredem also thinks that EastEnders will finish this year http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=EastEnders&diff=prev&oldid=539006818, something that The Test Card F (another confirmed sock of Trueman31 also thinks http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=EastEnders&diff=next&oldid=538756667.

As Bbc bloated

Similar edit as User:Steve mc fadden the new james bond, Bbc bloated thinks that Phil Mitchell will leave EastEnders http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Phil_Mitchell&diff=next&oldid=540590653. Phil Mitchell is a character played by Steve McFadden. Bbc bloated also thinks that Dot Cotton will leave EastEnders http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dot_Cotton&diff=prev&oldid=540696637. The there's the name as Bbc bloated appears to be a play on the BBC, the station that airs EastEnders, the soap of which Phil Mitchell and Dot Cotton are characters from.

I have already blocked Test Card J as this was obvious, based on the username, similar to User:The test card f and User:The return of Test Card F, with edits to Dot Cotton stating she is leaving the series, which is what Trueman31 socks have been doing for years. I also believe Desired31 may be Trueman31 based on the 31 at the end of the username, which has been used in other usernames such as User:The returner31, User:The choco brothers t31, and User:Toolbox 31. Also the edit by Desired31 was to Kat Slater, another character in EastEnders, and Trueman31 socks always target EastEnders articles. I have not blocked Desired31 as it is not so clear cut this time. Also, as there are two suspected sockpuppets this time, there could be sleepers. –anemoneprojectors– 15:45, 8 March 2013 (UTC) –anemoneprojectors– 15:45, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm adding User:Anemone sfjhfshbfsjhbhbhfsbsb because of an edit to Jack Branning‎, another EastEnders character, adding false information, and part of my username being copied, something Trueman31 has done before. –anemoneprojectors– 20:22, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Now adding User:YtecsdfggdfgT31111, User:The warrier mode, User:Zealot the tracker, User:Zestlepus. The first one added a BBC Test Card to his userpage, something the User:Test Card F and others were doing, and the other three undid my reverts of the other accounts mentioned in this SPI. I've blocked them all. There's probably more. –anemoneprojectors– 21:01, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

All these accounts have been blocked and tagged as likely sockpuppets of Trueman31. This user has several habits, mostly adding false information to EastEnders-related articles, targeting me in some way (posting a "retired" notice on my talk page was a recent one), copying my user and talk pages in their userspace, or recreating user subpages that I have moved to the mainspace for other users that have been requested on my talk page. This has been going on for about six or seven years now and the user shows no sign of maturity, so it would be nice if something could be done, like contacting their ISP if possible. Anyway, there are usually a large number of sleeper accounts waiting to be used, so I'm requesting checkuser to see if any can be found and blocked. –anemoneprojectors– 14:22, 17 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Interest in EastEnders-related articles (this time Mike Parker (EastEnders)) and targeting User:AnemoneProjectors here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Poorpoppieeyes&oldid=621275109 are characteristic of Trueman31. Meters (talk) 23:16, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Mr. Yanusanta opened his talkpage using content from User talk:AnemoneProjectors and copied the userpage accordingly. The (copied) talk-page contained several templates (now removed) containing a link to the sockmasters name. Also, when checking Category:Suspected Wikipedia sockpuppets of Trueman31, I found several other references to AnemoneProjector being impersonated. Arnoldswansen edited the article of Adam Woodyatt, an EastEnders actor claiming he'd had a cardiac arrest.

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Adam_Woodyatt&diff=next&oldid=919503052

One of Trueman's socks edited the article of Dot Cotton, an EastEnders character, stating that the character would be killed off from the series.

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dot_Cotton&diff=prev&oldid=917336239

Previous socks of Trueman 31 have also vandalised the articles of EastEnders actors making ridiculous unreferenced claims.

This is weird, given that WikiFlame is explicitly reverting JimpixAP's edits, but I think that WikiFlame50's strange familiarity with the Trueman31 case and shared interest in British soaps (plus their shared issues with spelling) is sufficient to justify a check as a suspected GHBH. I note that WikiFlame is exclusively editing from mobile, which I haven't seen from recent socks, so CU might be iffy here. GeneralNotability (talk) 03:23, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
