See edit history ([1]) of Marcos Stupenengo and the contributions of the three users, which are single-purpose accounts that have created Marcos Stupenengo, a CV-style selfpromotional article about a non-notable minor journalist (now nominated for deletion ([2]), and are now edit-warring on it, repeatedly removing maintenance tags etc. The only edits other than on Marcos Stupenengo are on a couple of articles that have a connection to Marcos Stupenengo, adding his name to them (Coconuto: [3], IP: [4], IP: [5]) in order to promote him. The IP user has now been blocked for 72 h by Mark Arsten for edit-warring on Marcos Stupenengo (for making five reverts within 24 h, each time removing maintenance templates etc on the article). Thomas.W talk to me 14:40, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The ip "38.109.64.219" appeared on July 16 this year, requesting that the article be deleted "for promotion or spam". This user Coconuto has been joined for the article to be deleted in the same way. Other accounts such as Chespir886 and Thetankpatt have been added to this in the discussion page of the article. The most bizarre of all is that each appearing the ip "38.109.64.219" the user Coconuto appears and I suspect that Chespir886 and Thetankpatt accounts are the same user. Comment: Coconuto was heavily involved in a (self-)promotional article about Marcos Stupenengo, a journalist from Argentina who worked at CNN for a while, an article that tried to portray him as bigger, more famous and more important than he was, an article that was first speedied as A7, then recreated and finally deleted at AfD two years ago. Before, during and after the AfD there was also some socking involved (see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Coconuto/Archive), so the proper sock-master would probably be Coconuto, since there's already a case here, and it's an old account. Stupenengo then obviously moved on to Fox for a while since Coconuto tried to add his name to Fox News Channel a year ago. Several IPs have also tried to add his name on first CNN and then Fox News Channel, even though I haven't seen it since towards the end of last year, so Coconuto seems to have a lot of experience when it comes to socking. This IP's other contributions, their proficiency in English and their geolocation make it IMHO highly unlikely that it is the same editor as Coconuto. Thomas.W talk 12:30, 4 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
