File:L Brands Logo Official.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Whoisjohngalt (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Updated logo available on Wikimedia Commons. La Senza and Henri Bendel are no longer owned by L Brands, and the new logo reflects this. LABcrabs (talk) 01:46, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File:Rio Grande Valley Dorados Helmet.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by NostalgiaBuff97501 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).
Non-free helmet image whose use fails WP:NFCC#3a in Rio Grande Valley Dorados. There is already a non-free file (Rio Grande Valley Dorados) of the team's logo being used in the main infobox of the article for primary identification purposes, so there's no need for another file basically showing the same logo on a helmet to be used per NFCC#3a. In additional, there may also be some WP:NFCC#4 and WP:NFCC#10a issues as well since the source cited for the helmet is only given as Arena Football League, but there no indication where this actual files comes from. Was it downloaded from an official website and then reuploaded to Wikipedia? Was the only the logo downloaded and then added to the helmet imagery by the uploader or someone else, and then uploaded to Wikipedia. If the helmet imagery was created by someone other than the team, then it might not be an official team image even though it might be based upon photos of what the helmet looks like.
Finally, this file was orginally tagged for speedy deletion per WP:G4 since it basically is the same as File:Rio Grande Valley Dorados Helmet 2019.png (see here) which was deleted per Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2019 March 21#File:Rio Grande Valley Dorados Helmet 2019.png, but per the suggestion of the admin who closed the first FFD, the {{db-g4}} tagged was removed and the file brought to FFD for more discusison.
This file has the same non-free issues as the one which was deleted and the only real difference between the two files is the coloring and design of the helmet. The deleted file was sourced to the team's official website (see here), but the actual file itself couldn't also been found at that source. The file discussed here was uploaded a few days ago and the uploader has stated the file should be kept per File talk:Rio Grande Valley Dorados Helmet.png#File talk:Rio Grande Valley Dorados Helmet.png. The question here is not whether the file shows the helmet actually used by the team, but whether two non-free files providing bascially the same information for primary identification purposes are needed per WP:NFCC.
Finally, there have been a number of other files uploaded by the same person which have also been discussed at FFD for NFCC reasons (see Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2015 November 6#File:Nashville Kats 1997-2001 Logo.png, Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2016 January 4#File:Spokane Shock Home Helmet Logo.png, Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2016 February 7#File:Dodge City Law.png, Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2016 August 17#File:Utah Flash.png, Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2017 January 15#Chicago_Slaughter_files, Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2017 February 28#File:Portland Fire alternate.png, Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2018 October 25#Non-free logos in Chico Heat, Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2019 March 21#File:Austin Wild Helmet 2018.png, Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2019 March 29#File:San Diego Strike Force Helmet 2019.png for some examples) over the years and not all of these files were nominated for discussion by the same person and not all of them were deleted by the same administrator. So, while it's possible for a mistake to have been made in interpretating and applying the NFCC once maybe even twice, it's seems unlikely that everyone involved in all of these discussions of these files has wrong and the uploader has been right as to whether this type of non-free use is acceptable per relevant Wikipedia policy and guidelines. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:09, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

GIF that was created to illustrate what correction needed to be made in a pre-existing SVG (File:Redox eqn 1.svg), that has now been made. DMacks (talk) 12:04, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
