Not notable. Was a contestant on America's Got Talent that was knocked out in the first live round (8/5/09). Not otherwise notable, though that could change later. No recording contract, no charted songs or albums, nothing that meets WP:MUSIC. She's apparently best known (aside from AGT) for singing the national anthem in quite a few places, but that's it. Article has lots of issues, and may have been originally written by someone connected to Megia. She may become notable later, but for now, no. (This article was originally nominated for an AfD, but we decided to hold it off until she ended her run on AGT.) - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 04:44, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Wikipedia is not a resume source for unsuccesful talent show contestants. Personally I feel everyone on that show except the season winner is unnotable. Nate • (chatter) 07:29, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- There are exceptions. (Susan Boyle, anyone?) Tavix | Talk 15:14, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment True, but she was on Britain's Got Talent. AGT to me hasn't had many standouts. Nate • (chatter) 04:07, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete - While my opinion of where the bar AGT sets for granting notability is a good bit higher than Nate just above me, it goes nowhere near this high. She did not make it anywhere near far enough in AGT for notability from that, and nothing else in the article shows that she has yet to reach the level of notability. - TexasAndroid (talk) 11:43, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete as a viewer of this show I know who she is, but I doubt anyone will remember her in a few years time unless she becomes notable for something else. Tavix | Talk 15:14, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - I agree the article needs a lot of cleanup, but I feel it should stay. I read the WP:MUSIC guidelines and feel they are over-the-top. I see no reason why a good, regional talent or an outstanding, up-and-coming talent cannot have a page on Wikipedia. It costs nothing but a little time from a volunteer. Also, to correct the statement above about Megia only being on AGT and singing the national anthem in a quite a few places, she also performed on Showtime at the Apollo in 2008 [1] and racked up 1.5 million views on YouTube in the past month and a half [2] [3] - with an average rating of 4.9 stars out of 5. Neither of those things are something to sneeze at, in my view. I will try cleaning up the page. I am new here, so am not familiar with all the policies, but I will do what I can over the next few days. Sworkeld 05:27, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment I made a first small batch of changes, then saw XLinkBot reversed my changes almost immediately. I am not clear why. I posted more info on the Discussion page. --Sworkeld (talk) 06:41, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment A number of the issues originally flagged on this page have been addressed. I continue to cleanup and update this page each night, as I have time. More comments added in the History and Discussion pages. --Sworkeld (talk) 08:48, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- KEEP HER LISTED****
This young lady is relevant. She is obviously very talented and has a wonderful career ahead of her. Why delete her listing? You can't disagree that people have an interest in her, I did and that's how I've come to post my thoughts. With the gazillion of web pages out there about absolutely nothing, why isn't Thia's page worthy of Wikipedia? She has already accomplished what most of us only can wish, namely, to be able to sing, and to sing very well. Give the kid a break and let's recognize what she has accomplished at such a young age. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Edsa1986 (talk • contribs) 04:26, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- I actually voted for her and was dissapointed she didn't pass, but she doesn't warrant an article. The difference between this article and the other gazillion is that the others are cited with notable sources, and this one isn't. Some articles exist with no sources, but those have usually not been subject to a deletion discussion and/or it is assumed sources can be found. This article's source, beyond the primary sources, is a photograph, and because she has been eliminated her performance won't attract anymore. Also, we don't have articles on any of the National Spelling Bee champions, and they've accomplished a great deal at a comparable age. Also, this comment is your only edit, so your account is likely a Sock Puppet.
- Still, like you said, she likely has a career ahead, and when she releases an album or gets more attention, I'm sure she'll get an article. Liquidluck (talk) 06:24, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete: As it is, this article serves little more importance than advertising. Because she was eliminated in an early round, she won't attract attention from notable media until she releases an album or something. In my opinion, only the finalists of ATM are notable from just their performance. Liquidluck (talk) 06:24, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
