Almost no information is known (or at least not anything certain) about this future event. Only one source (Eurovoix) is talking about it. Clear case of WP:TOOSOON. I unilaterally draftified it earlier, but that was opposed. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 19:58, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. We have articles for all the other Junior Eurovision Song Contests, so I think that we should have one for 2023. I see the argument that it was created too soon, but creating it in advance seems just the same as creating an article for an election in the future, which we know will happen. I'd keep it but work to improve it. Epa101 (talk) 23:06, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Most future elections do not have articles, mostly because we do not know if they will happen. Things can change suddenly, and we've seen that before, for example with the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. That one does have an article because quite a lot of notable things had already happened, but with the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 almost nothing has happened yet and there are almost no sources. As WP:TOOSOON says: If sources do not exist, it is generally too soon for an article on that topic to be considered.Jochem van Hees (talk) 23:49, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree with your first part. There are several articles linked to here: List of elections in 2023. I acknowledge that most of these articles have more sources than for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023, but some do not have many sources. I have just done a search on Google News, and this event has now had coverage in several newspapers in the last few days. If we delete it, I don't think that it'll be long before it'll have to be created again, so I've opted to keep. Epa101 (talk) 19:53, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Draftify until more coverage occurs. This might require protecting the main space page. Liz Read! Talk! 01:32, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Draftify. WP:TOOSOON, the current refs are non-SIGCOV routine announcements that does not establish WP:GNG or WP:NEVENT being met; my WP:BEFORE didn't find non-announcement column/minor news stories coverage that counts towards GNG or NEVENT. Also, as per WP:GNG, Multiple publications from the same author or organization are usually regarded as a single source for the purposes of establishing notability, which is the case here for Eurovoix. • Move to draft space. WP:TOOSOON as per nomination. Sims2aholic8 (talk) 08:43, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Draftify. Not enough information about a future event. Grk1011 (talk) 15:05, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Draftify per above and per precedence. WP:TOOSOON for this. ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 16:43, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Draftify per WP:TOOSOON. There is still around a year before this particular edition takes place. Vida0007 (talk) 10:01, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
