Notice

The article Qatar and the Israel–Hamas war has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

For lack of content, the page doesn't warrant existing at this time outside of other existing bilateral relations pages, such as Israel–Qatar relations.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello, Skakkle,

I happen to notice this page on the Move log and gave it a look. I know it's an early stage draft but right now it just seems like your opinions on what bands or TV shows "white people" like. Do you have any references from reliable sources on what exactly white culture is and who defines it? Because it would never pass AFC review just containing your opinion on what white people like without even definiting what "white" represents and whether this applies to specific countries, populations, time periods. Just thought I'd raise the question early. Liz Read! Talk! 05:20, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Liz,
Thanks you taking a look. Yes, it's certainly not ready for prime time. This is one reason I didn't try to put it in draft space. If you're feeling really spicy, take a look at User:Skakkle/white_culture (more general topic). I haven't 100% nailed down what I want to say and what an appropriate title is. and what I'm writing might not end up not being suitable as encyclopedic content, at least for this wiki/ platform.
But if you look at that more general topic page I wrote, I think I outlined more clearly the thrust of the proto-idea. (Again, this def isn't near ready to be a "real boi" [article] yet.) To at least understand my main motivation, a reader might share my frustration about the gap between what's described and not judged (from an anthropology/ sociology point of view), about what "regular people do" [organic cultural practice] and content that consists entirely of what we call "critical theory" [an analysis of how power operates].
The second thing (critical analysis) is an important and needed examination. It's a deconstruction and indictment of who wields power, why, how, and the history involved, and how "regular (white) folks" are involved/ implicated in the perpetuating that power. I'm kinda focused on the first thing (anthro, observing), cuz the second is already easy to find in my experience in most high google results & on wikipedia.
sorry so long, but anyway, that's my focus & that's why it's not ready to meet wikip standards for now. if you're interested in the subject matter too, I'd be happy to talk more, privately via the email function here or whatever.
