This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits.
The next time you use Wikipedia for advertising, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. —KuyaBriBriTalk 19:54, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not copy text from other websites

Your addition to Edge-Sweets Company has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. —C.Fred (talk) 19:54, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Please be aware that if you donate the text from your company's website, you will be allowing free and unlimited future use of the text, including commercial re-use. Make sure you want to do this before you donate the text.
Regardless, be prepared for other editors to change it, especially since it has a promotional tone to it. Also, when you have a conflict of interest, as you do in this case, you should be focusing on providing independent reliable sources that cover the subject. —C.Fred (talk) 20:00, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You might want to take a look at WP:SPAM. Copying text from a company website and placing a products list with text such as "represents a low cost entry into horizontal slitting and has been designed to suit the needs of the low volume producer" are considered promotional in nature. —KuyaBriBriTalk 20:00, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. JNW (talk) 20:01, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
