This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of BRL (disambiguation), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.citizendia.org/BRL. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. I really think a discussion should be opened regarding the state of this article. I believe I raised a valid argument supporting the redirecting of this page to the footballer and if there was a discussion about it, I'd have a lot of support. -Depor23 (talk) 02:40, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Brazil mudslides

Hi. I recommend including the link to convergence zone as a general meteorology term for the article on January 2011 Rio de Janeiro floods and mudslides. Thanks. ~AH1(TCU) 03:15, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am working on a response, but I have posted at the article's talk page and invite you to discuss further there; it is not implied consent to restore that version and I hope you aren't so wedded to this POV that you can't live without it in the article until you've considered the variables. Hi. When you recently edited Irineu Evangelista de Sousa, Viscount of Mauá, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Britain and Submarine cable (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Nominal GDP ranks

The consensus on Wikipedia for the past several years has always been that all nominal GDP, Purchasing Power Parity and GDP per capita figures and rankings on articles are derived from the lastest publication of figures from the IMF, World Bank and CIA. The last publication of figures on GDP (nominal and PPP) from the IMF, World Bank and CIA in early 2011 were regarding the year 2010 and can be seen on the List of countries by GDP (nominal) and the List of countries by GDP (PPP) articles. These figures will be updated as soon as the IMF, World Bank and CIA publish their figures for 2011 early this year. Figures are not derived from speculative sources, such as preliminary figures on GDP for 2011, 2012, 2013 or any other year. Wikipedia is also not a crystal ball for reasons outlined in that article. Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Ricardo Lewandowski. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:13, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Ricardo Lewandowski has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. UPP

Hey Missionary. I notice that currently if I google search the term "UPP", the article for Pacifying Police Unit is not showing in the search results. I don't remember if there is a way to change that? I do see that if I google search "favela pacification" that the current article will show at the top of search results. Evenrød (talk) 08:20, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think that a way to solve it is to change the title of the article to UPP (Pacifying Police Unit). Because I think that a lot of people are using the quickest search values such as "UPP" and then assuming there must not be anything on it. Would you mind if I made that alteration? Evenrød (talk) 19:46, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah but everyone knows what the United Nations is. Pacifying Police Unit is your own translation of what the Portuguese equivalent means. And in fact many English media sources don't even use that specific term.

But everyone uses UPP. Evenrød (talk) 20:13, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, I do think that your translation is the most accurate translation of the term. I think that Rio's government purposely configured the new name for the pacification program to imply a little bit that the police were being pacified, not just the favela residents. My whole motive was just to make it more simple for general readers to find the article. Thanks. Evenrød (talk) 20:24, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Gilmar Mendes

Hey, Missionary,

I've edit Jusitce Mendes page in English before, aiming to clean it of unfair paragraphs that were added by others, as you can see by checking how it was before I first cleaned it up (I've never touched in his Portuguese page before, I actually don't use wiki in Portuguese because a lot of time there are so many bad edits to clean that it's disheartening, so I just add info in the English version). Anyhow, today I read on the news that there's a big ruckus happening because of his page in Portuguese, are you aware what is going on? I ask because I saw that you edited it a lot too. I never wrote in his page in Portuguese and I just wish wiki to be a good encyclopedia, so I justed wanted to help out in what I can to keep things civilized.

Cheers, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Diego Vieitez (talkcontribs) 22:06, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
