Hello. In a recent edit to the page Julian Assange, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the first author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. You can see on the article talk page that the entire page uses Aussie English. This is also reflected through the spelling. Aaron Liu (talk) 01:11, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- I do see that on the talk page now - my apologies! GuyBanks (talk) 01:23, 27 June 2024 (UTC)

Roscoe Jackson re: Last Public Execution in the U.S.
Hey there, just wanted to apologize – I was wrong. I 100% stand corrected on the issue of Roscoe Jackson being the last person subjected to a public execution in the United States, and you were correct that other sources confirm that he was the last person executed publicly in the U.S. Thanks for finding a solid source for the info!
Also just letting you know that I added a new image of Jackson (I think a mugshot of him) in the page's infobox. I found a few other photos relevant to his execution that I thought might be cool to add given that his historical significance mostly comes from the nature of his execution, although I'm not 100% sure about adding other images because of the ones I've found, the quality is extremely poor, making it hard to decipher what is happening/who is who in them. Let me know if you want me to upload and add those pictures anyway. I'll link two below:
https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-springfield-news-leader-photo-rosc/150436922/ - Roscoe Jackson being escorted from the Missouri State Penitentiary to Stone County for his execution. (I think he's the one farthest on the right.)
https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-springfield-news-leader-man-fainting/150438470/ - A witness at Jackson's execution fainting during Jackson's final statements to the crowd. (Very iffy about this one; poor image quality makes it nearly impossible to tell who is who, or what is happening.)
Take care!

- No need to apologize!
- It went unrecognized for nearly a century, not just by you! It’s not surprising, either, considering the small town in which Jackson was hanged and the small turnout of witnesses - compared to that of Bethea’s execution.
- I have known of this execution for several years, as I live near it - but always knew it as the last public execution in Missouri. It wasn’t until a week ago when I saw it again that I started researching and realized it wasn’t just Missouri, it was the United States as well.
- So, no harm! I do want to thank you for insisting I use stronger sources, as it did allow me to do further research on it. And thank you for continuing to contribute to the page! GuyBanks (talk) 19:21, 1 July 2024 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 5
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Crane High School (Missouri), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Varsity. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi, just dropping in to say that WP:IMDB is not reliable source for BLP information, as it is user generated. Thus, I have reverted your edit to Mark Kirkland. Thanks. Rift (talk) 01:22, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
