The article Lamar School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability per WP:ORG. Generally, elementary schools do not merit their own article based on prior deletion decisions. If possible, merge the information located in this article with the city the article serves (in this case, Meridian, MIssissippi.)

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. elektrikSHOOS 01:20, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. elektrikSHOOS 02:04, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Lamar School, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lamar School. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. elektrikSHOOS 02:07, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Need any help?

I noticed on the talk page for Lamar School you said you need some pointers. If I can help you in any way, feel free to ask me. You can leave a message on my talk page any time you need to (User talk:Swarm). Regards, SwarmTalk 07:29, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • P.S. There is a longstanding tradition on Wikipedia that considers all high school automatically notable. The messages above, along with the attempts at deletion, were from a user who was apparently unaware of this. Just to let you know, you don't have to worry about your article being deleted.
