Hurricanes

There are at least two albums named Hurricane with articles on Wikipedia, Hurricane released by the Hudson Taylors in 2002 and Hurricane to be released by Grace Jones in October of this year, therefore they both should be disambiguated with the artist's name in the article's title. Phildev (talk) 03:48, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problems and thanks for the heads up about moving the article rather than just creating a new one. Phildev (talk) 05:51, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to the LGBT WikiProject!

Hi, Am86, welcome to WikiProject LGBT Studies!

We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying, categorizing, and improving articles regarding lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and intersex people. LGBT Studies covers people, culture, history, and related subjects concerning sexual identity and gender identity - this covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated! Some points that may be helpful:

  • Our main aim is to help improve articles, so if someone seeks help, please try to assist if you are able. Likewise feel free to ask for help, advice or clarification.
  • Many important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
  • If you have another language besides English, please consider adding yourself to our translation section, to help us improve our foreign LGBT topics.
  • The project has several ongoing and developing activities, such as article quality assessment, peer review and a project-wide article collaboration, all of which you are welcome to take part in. We also have a unique program to improve our lower quality articles, Jumpaclass, so please consider signing up there.
  • If you're going to stay awhile, please create a square in our project quilt! You can put anything you want in it.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again - Welcome!

Billy Herrington

Hi Am86, could you please explain your recent edit to this article? You wrote that, 'Youtube links are not banned unless they are found to violate copyright', but the issue is YouTube being used as a source, not as an external link (and YouTube can be ruled unacceptable for other reasons, including, for instance, manipulated video). I've looked at past discussions on the reliable sources noticeboard, and it appears that youtube isn't usually a reliable source for biographies. Why do you consider it reliable in this case? Born Gay (talk) 08:40, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't believe the video has been manipulated but if you like I will add a corroborating episode citation when I have time.Am86 (talk) 11:31, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you tagged this image as being in the public domain through not having been released with a copyright notice. I was just wondering what you were basing this on. Regards, Guest9999 (talk) 10:07, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
