AARON ELIAS BRUNSDON born 18 August 1972 is an Australian entrepreneur and author of "Designer Baby"- a surrogacy journey from fashion to fatherhood.[1]


CAREER

Aaron Elias Brunsdon is cofounder and Chief Executive Officer of Australian fashion label ‘Jayson Brunsdon’[2], an eponymous label incorporated in 2003. The designer is a key fashion figure since the 80s, worked as stylist with INXS, Vogue USA, and top supermodels from the international fashion sect. Lines included elegant and sophisticated womenswear, home furnishings and childrenswear. [3]

In 2003, together developing their business with a small capital, eventually expanding designs to a womenswear line worn later by Crown Princess Mary of Denmark [4] [5] [6], actress Naomi Watts and entertainers Kylie Minogue and Liza Minelli and Miss Universe 2004 Jennifer Hawkins. [7] [8][9]Internationally recognised at US department stores and large local stores, including Saks[10], Neiman Marcus[11], and Harvey Nicholls . The label sold internationally across 22 US states and placed the brand and the dynamic duo as front runners of the Australian fashion industry.

In 2007, his life partner Jayson Brunsdon [12]was diagnosed with testicular cancer [13]</ref>and with the remnants of the Great Financial crisis, their business suffered irreparable losses. Aaron Elias Brunsdon is a published author. His first book 'Designer Baby' hits store worldwide on April 1st 2017.[17] The biography centers on their public life as fashion designers in Australia, the intricacies of international surrogacy and of the troubled crackdown in Thailand in 2014/15.


EARLY LIFE

Aaron Elias born 18 August 1972 was raised in a small closely knit Jewish community in his native country Singapore. His biological parents are Abraham Elias a school teacher and his mother Matilda Reuben a stay home mum. He has an older sibling, Florence Manasseh and a younger sibling Yahya Elias. He attended Christ Church Secondary School in Singapore. From age 15, he ventured into freelance writing for local magazines and publications, excelling in debate and drama on a national level.

EARLY CAREER

Aaron Elias Brunsdon migrated to Australia in 1993, his fashion career exemplified by working in Sales with Giorgio Armani. In 1996 instrumental in the formation of Sydney’s top entertainment venue Stonewall, he was made licensee of the popular nightspot. After the six years stint, he began working with the Oroton Group on Australian fashion brand Morrissey. Thereby creating dynamic visual displays for their stores and consulting in designs for the brand. Further cementing his desire to writing, Aaron did various courses in script writing with NIDA[18] and the University of Sydney. He made a brief foray into the film business by successfully writing and directing a short feature film for Tropfest[19] called ‘Stranded’.

PERSONAL LIFE

In 1999, he met his life partner designer Jayson Brunsdon, introduced by the late TV and Media Personality Charlotte Dawson [20]at her hens night.

In 2004, they ventured into Thailand to engage in a surrogacy arrangement. Their son Roman was born on January 5th 2015. [21][22]Together they live in Sydney, Australia.
