Because it is against Wikipedia guidelines to use high quality non-free images. The images they are being replaced with are fine, do a good job of representing the character in their natural state and we don't need fancy photo-shoot images. Arre 11:44, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! I don't think that we should list Jessica Heap as part of the "Departing" on the cast members page. The only source there is from On-Air On-Soaps releasing a rumor report with the announcement of Stephen Nichols' exit. I'm pretty sure Jessica Heap is leaving. It's been confirmed by multiple sources, like Soap Opera Uncensored. I'll have a look around for a HT image, but I think the one now is okay even though it is a promotional image. There aren't many good screenshots from ten years ago (speaking of it, I can't believe it's been ten years since Heather left the show). I've noted you created several pages so that the decade list be shorter, which is really good. But there are articles, viz Daisy Carter and the David Chow article, that you haven't really continued on. I was wondering whether you will or not continue on them? Yes ofcourse I heard :) Love SB. It's apparent Dylan will be paired with Sharon, which I am very excited about. Other than that, I'm bored with Y&R. I'm more into GH and Days right now. B&B have completely lost me. The Chloe/Kevin storyline is AWFUL, Adam/Chelsea are boring, the Newmans trying to get back their family company for the 3959280809th time is boring. JFP and JG really need to do something interesting with the show. But I'm very excited about Dylan! He seems a tad bit more interesting than Jason. Arre

I'm liking the Noah/Adriana storyline. I'm glad they're finally doing something with his character. It's extremely overdue. I know right? The Kevin/Chloe storyline is more than awful! It's ridiculous how Chloe just broke in and stole the money and was completely fine with it? She's never been like that before. I'm not surprised about Kevin given his history. Soaps in Depth already listed Kevin becoming a criminal again as one of their "Top 10 Storylines that would rock" the show. Daytime Confidential was right, they're becoming an awful couple. It's time to pair Chloe with someone else. I don't mind the rest of the storylines tbh. I've been watching GH full time for over a month now. It's cheesy writing but I love the drama. LOL. Not sure about the Noah/Adriana storyline yet, we'll see how it goes. Stolen money is just such an obvious plot that has been done a lot in soaps. Yes, this was expected of Kevin, ugh I hate his character. But Chloe? It's just not her. Apparently JFP/JG wants them to be Bonnie & Clyde for Y&R? Lol its stupid. I think a Bonnie and Clyde storyline would've worked better with Adam and Chelsea, my opinion. I was hoping that they'd keep Chelsea's con artist side to her character, but I guess not. I miss the devious, scheming pregnant Chelsea from last year. Yes, Ellie being paralyzed was quite sad to watch. But now Spinelli is gonna stay with her out of guilt, which I hate. Me too, very excited about Genie. Did you see any of the Robin scenes from December? It's so aggravating to watch; just as she is about to be rescued she's whisked away to another hiding place. It's also hard to watch Patrick move on with Britt (who's such a bitch!) when the audience knows that Robin is alive. The sad thing is that I don't know if Kimberly McCullough will ever be open to a full return, because if she's not, Port Charles will never know that Robin is alive. Robert knows, but he's in a coma! Britt is one of those characters who you want to throw something at the TV! Eventually, Patrick will figure out what she said to Sabrina and he'll dump her. And Steve Burton will most probably come back to GH. It was his home for 21 years. I'm sure they'll resurrect Jason in awhile, it's easy as his body was never found. But I'm sure they'll wait until Sam has moved on with her life and is in love with somebody else. It was sad watching Sam finally give up hope. Starr is my favorite character on GH. I really hope they don't remove all the OLTL characters because of that whole Prospect Park revival project going on. I read they have the rights to Todd, Starr, Blair and John and they can be written off GH if asked to. I didn't really like the influx of OLTL characters at first, but I don't mind it now. What I don't understand is why all these characters from OLTL have crossed over, becoming contract or recurring, and no AMC characters made cross overs. Both soaps ended on cliffhangers. They could've done something to incorporate a few from AMC. I know it has to do with Frank Valentini and Ron Carlivati taking over GH, but I think it would've been fair to AMC's fans to at least have a few characters come to GH. Haha so true...hate Britt. Why is she even there, Lol? I don't know about Steve Burton. With JFP on Y&R, he could be on Y&R a long time but I wouldn't hold my breath, maybe 4-5 years. Like he said on The Talk, its very convenient with him and JFP being so close and its convenient for him and his family. Yes, I feel sorry for Sam and I loved "Jasam" but its good she will move on. It's been 3 months, its not a lot but she needs to come to terms that he's not gonna randomly come walking through the door. I want Starr to remain on GH and be with Michael, but I wouldn't mind it if Todd went back to OLTL. I hope that AMC and OLTL eventually make it back to TV. It makes me very scared with the lack of soaps on. Plus, then the Emmys become WAY more interesting when there are more contenders, instead of CBS CBS CBS. I think AMC characters crossed over because OLTL & GH had a bigger history of crossing over. Plus, many AMC actors have been hired elsewhere, like MCE on Y&R (although I like her better as Annie on AMC). But I do agree. It is with much doubt that I say this, but if they decide to rewrite McBain as this Caleb Morley character, the show is doomed. But they wouldn't do that. I guess it's a bit funny, but it's stupid. How are they going to rationally explain Lucy's reasons for thinking John and Sam are Caleb and "Livvie Locke". They did the same thing about a month ago with Carly and Skye when they thought Tomas Delgado was really Lorenzo Alcazar because the actor is the same, and that was left unresolved. Hey Arre! Apologies for the lack of contact. I've been sooo busy I can barely make Wiki visits anymore. Anyway, how are you? Have you gotten married yet? What are you thinking of the soaps? I'm announcing that in my 25-year history of watching B&B, that it is seriously not impressing me. I'm really disappointed in the writing. As an avid soap fan of the past three decades, I'm losing touch with my inner soap side. Everything went downhill for CBS after the cancellations of GL and ATWT. OMG have you heard about the AMC/OLTL revivals?! I'm soo mad! I don't really care about AMC but OLTL needs to stay cancelled! But it's nothing big, just a webseries. There's not many soaps out there impressing me these days. DAYS is okay I guess, I still watch full time but it's in a rut I find. No I haven't. Soaps are okay at the moment, but just average. I'm into GH mostly, and Days. B&B has been dull for over a year now. Their storylines are predictable and don't surprise me. I may not have been too into OLTL and AMC, but it was sad when they were cancelled. Each soap down is a very sad thing for the soap industry - its declining, which is very upsetting. It's nice they are bringing them back for the fans. Why are you so mad by this? I think its fine and it's not like they are forcing you to watch it. I actually really liked AMC and am excited by its return. I hope AMC and OLTL find their way back to television eventually. It's sort of depressing that there are only 4 daytime soaps on the air. Hi! I took some of your advice for Victoria Newman and I put casting into its on section. The only problem is now I'm struggling to find some good characterization info. I can't even seem to find any interviews or such where Amelia Heinle describes Victoria. I don't think I'll find any Heather Tom characterization though because I've used about all the sources I can on her. I'm sick of the Chelsea/Sharon/Adam triangle, it sucks. I'm hoping for Shylan (Sharon and Dylan). GH is amazing. I love the Caleb s/l. So happy Laura is back... The writers are doing a great job. Y&R will always be my favorite, no matter what. It makes me sick to my stomach to watch what Britt is doing to Sabrina. She's turning into a violent sociopath. When are they going to bring Robin back!? I wanna see what Jerry Jacks is gonna do with her! The other thing that is bothering me about Y&R is how virtually everyone knows and assumes Victor will recapture Newman Enterprises, even Adam has spoken about how "well, Victor will take over..." Yes, I just heard. Me too, I thoroughly enjoyed him as Kyle. However, it's good to hear at least they're keeping the character around. Personally, I believe that JFP and JG are trying to get rid of as many of MAB's poor casting choices as they can (ironically, Blake Hood was actually one of her good casting choices). If you think about it, most of the actors who have departed since last October have been casting choices MAB was heavily criticized for because of her "lack of creative writing talent to produce material that is on-par with their talents". I'm still upset about Jennifer Landon, LOL. I also find it bizarre that Hood's exit was announced a week before his replacement is scheduled to take over. I love Genie Francis as an actress, but Genevieve had certainly done her time on the show and I felt it was time for her to go. Yes, I quite enjoyed Blake Hood in all aspects. But there's not a whole lot of info behind his exit. If it was his decision that certainly would've got out but he was probably let go, which doesn't make sense because I think Hood had a good fan following too. From what I can guess, GH probably offered the role to Rylan and when Y&R couldn't match the finicial aspect of a contract offered to her by GH, she chose to leave. Has Jessica Heap had her last episode? I think she has. She confirmed on January 11 that she had taped her final episode. Episodes taped that week certainly would've aired by now. You obviously have no idea about soap opera articles on Wikipedia. There are articles like this, but longer, about characters who have been in existence for a shorter amount of time. This article is a good size for a character who has been on the air for 20 years. All material is encyclopedic, sourced and contains in world info - fancruft would be something like this, an excessive amount of storyline. Please educate yourself on this area before making your personal judgement. Hello I've read this whole talk on the talk page of the movie Parker and have come up with another suggestion. Why don't you edit the budget as $30-40 million. That will be an easy solution. Take the example of hobbit one source states the budget to be $315 million while the official source states the budget to be near the $200 million mark after tax rebates. That's what I thought. Other users took her as being recurring as a few months back she began being credited with the recurring cast members in the closing credits, which means nothing. I read in an interview that Lauren and Michael were considered the couple "you just don't wanna touch or break up". Robin's return from the dead is Jerry Jacks' secret because in December, when Obrecht stabbed Robert with the syringe, she escaped with Robin and brought her to Jerry, where she explained to him that Faison had been captured and she didn't know what to do with her. Jerry just stared at her and said, "What am I gonna do with you?" So Obrecht is responsible for Robin anymore, I guess. Ya, it would've been so good if as the Nurses Ball was closing, Robin was shown watching it on television, crying. I wish they wouldn't have made it known to the viewers that Robin is alive, then when Kimberly McCullough is ready to return, it would be a huge surprise to everyone. Even though MAB's stories were awful, I think the reason she was so negatively received is because she brought plot driven drama to a soap that had been character driven for so many years. I think JFP and JG are trying to revert to character driven drama but we find it dull because we were used to plot driven drama for five years, even if it was horribly written. Some sources mention Cane and Lily as a super couple but even then I think there's enough sources and info to build an article for them either way. It would be impossible for SR to return! Tricia shot him and he died in front of our eyes. But I did watch some old Ryan scenes on YouTube and he was a good character. That's why I wanna rebuild him an article. That's very true (the plot driven thing). MAB didn't have very good balance. Sure, I'd help you with a Cane and Lily article. All we need is 1-2 sources confirming them as a super couple. I think SR could return. He is Steve Burton's closest friend at GH, and he must be close to Jill as well. I think it'd be possible especially for JFP, considering all the crazy storylines she did at GH. If not, maybe SR could play a new character. I think we'll start hearing rumors in the future about him joining Y&R. About Lily, yes the paternity reveal was one of her biggest storylines so something more should definitely included. Arre 9, It's been a long time we haven’t speak, I would like to know how are you?. What do you think about GH, I think the writers, producers and casting directors chose to right person to play Lulu. I'm starting to like Emme "Marcy" Rylan as Lulu. In my opinion, it’s going to be an amazing storyline because Lulu is forgetting everything like Dante and her parents. I hope that next year, Emme/Marcy will win an emmy that she deserves for a long time now. The Nurses Ball was fantastic! I really enjoyed it however I wish they showed Robin. Did you hear? Jeanne Cooper has died. Very sad moment! Katherine's final appearance was on the May 3 episode, when she says goodnight to Jill and walks up the stairs. They better write Katherine's death into the storyline and give her proper closure. What do you think of Hartley Sawyer as Kyle and Melissa Ordway as Abby? TBH, I actually enjoy Ordway as Abby. She brings this new grown-up side to the character that Marcy Rylan lacked. While I loved Rylan, she played the young, vivacious side to Abby, and now Ordway can play the next version of her. Sawyer is okay; he is a much stronger actor than Blake Hood, but I'm still getting used to him.

On a different subject, I was talking with AniMate about helping me move Victor Newman and Nikki Reed to "Victor and Nikki" to match other supercouple pages, and they have brought to my attention that having supercouple articles such as Nick and Sharon and J.T. and Colleen titled with just first names might not be a good idea. Because we are writing an encyclopedia for all readers, not just soap fans, some formality is needed and that includes last names. Luke and Laura is the one exception, as they're considered the first soap supercouple and don't need last names. I see you're on a short-term Wikibreak, but I just wanted to bring this to your attention. I'm gonna start a discussion at the WP:SOAPS talk page; if you're around, could you contribute your opinion? Is there a rush to get Victor copy edited for some reason? Also, I disagree. The media refers to the couples as their first names. Names especially like "Reed" and "Collins" (Sharon) are rarely heard of on the show let alone the media. Even the editor who moved the pages to include their last names for formality agrees with me. It fits in with WP:COMMONNAME (For instance, what's the point of "Nicholas Newman and Sharon Collins" when Sharon hasn't gone by that name in 17 years and Nicholas goes by Nick? Newman adds nothing). Surnames aren't needed when each couple are commonly known by their first names. But yea I'll contribute my opinion there. I was going on a wikibreak but I changed my mind. As of now, we have 8 good articles for American daytime soaps, including Todd. Kristen Alderson is not bad, but Michael Easton and Roger Howarth are just awful. I really doubt it. They're on the road to retconning one plotline (or maybe not, but I'm sure it'll surface that Jack is Summer's father), so I really don't think VR will be returning anytime soon. If she was, I'd be really surprised given that the show's writers and CBS said in October that having Dru return isn't the creative decision they were looking for, because there was all that speculation at the time that Josh Griffith wanted VR back. Who do you think Leslie and Tyler's stalker is? I thought "Hillary Curtis" (who debuts June 14) would either be that Rose character or this Mariah girl who apparently is Tyler's ex. I doubt that the stalker is either of them though, but you never know. Btw, congrats on getting Steffy Forrester to GA. I think it's the first one for B&B. If people like MTS, MS & PB weren't on the show, I think Dru would be back in a heart beat. People like Joshua Morrow, Sharon Case, Eric Braeden etc fully support VR. It's other cast members. Hi again! I've been watching The Y&R for awhile now, and I see that you watch it too. Soap Opera Digest did an interview with Maria Arena Bell recently, and she spoke about how much she doesn't like the new writing regime and everything. She said whenever she tunes in, all of the "iconic characters" are "unrecognizable". I guess she never really realized what she was doing to Sharon last year? Hello!? She also said she didn't like the way they just "threw out" Phyllis and Paul's trials, and that they have "back-burnered" Paul too (which is kinda true, but he doesn't always have to have a big storyline), and she was "very displeased" how they also threw out Daisy's disappearance. Uh, because it was ridiculously stupid and outlandish, the actress/character were awful and the character's background made no coherent sense?! She also said the brass at CBS wouldn't let her have Kimberlin Brown return. Paul was back-burnered for all of her tenure as head writer, just until the last few months (in 2012), so she can't go there. She feels like just because she gave him a storyline that she always had which is garbage. She's a hypocrite...she's the one who made iconic characters unrecognizable (Sharon marrying her father figure, Nikki murdering someone out of self defense, etc). I saw that interview too! Sorry for interrupting this conversation. Yeah, she talked about how the characters were unrecognizable to her and the show seems a "little flat" to her now and "there's no excitement". In your mind, a soap has to have constant plot driven drama to keep it interesting. Sorry MAB, soaps may be known for their outlandish plots but they are just as equally known for their socially relevant stories and such. She said she was "distraught over the decisions being made and she would want to undo them". She's actually "surprised" they didn't want to continue with Daisy? OMG. She also said it was a "big mistake" to burn down the Newman ranch and change the other sets. She said it was "heartbreaking" for her to see how the Phyllis and Paul trials were wrapped up. Yes, she's a HUGE hypocrite. She spoke a lot about Paul being back burnered, and you're right, she can't go there. She also said how she gave the new writers "a document" with how she wanted her stories to be wrapped up, and she was appalled that they didn't consider it. The biggest jaw dropper for me was the following quote:

I had really planned for months a very satisfying payoff to that story, where Phyllis would get her karmic comeuppance in a way that would've been profound, especially because I felt Michelle [Stafford] would've really delivered on that, but it never happened and it's unfortunate. Like BrickHouse said, the new regime may not be perfect (and maybe still far from it), but Y&R is so much better off with them than they ever were with MAB. Its okay, thanks for that C97! The new regime's most annoying flaw is that they keep introducing new characters. But at least they treat the legacy characters with respect. Y&R is so much more stable now. Josh's writing is far more enduring then MAB's. The only thing I liked was that MAB was going to punish Phyllis, although she may have just been bluffing. Also, what's with the "payback that would happen for Sharon"? Does that mean Sharon would get pay back, or continue to be trashed in MAB's awful writing? The Newman ranch burning & Sharon's breakdown was writing amazingly, one of the best soap storylines last year. I feel like MAB started out great a few years ago but the writing went very downhill, especially after the awful Diane-murder storyline. Who kills off Maura West? I think MAB needs to take a seat. Oh and its hilarious how she thinks we actually give a damn about Daisy. I have to say however, I would've loved a Sheila re-visit, but its too soon after the awful 2010 Sara storyline. I don't usually watch B&B, but I'm familiar with the characters. The "payback that would happen for Sharon", I have no idea what she meant by that. She'd probably make Sharon commit suicide or something, LOL. MAB would've never done a Sharon breakdown, she would just be continued to be included in one ridiculous plot after another. I wish SOD asked her why she paired Sharon with Victor, but they didn't! And she said CBS wouldn't let her have Kimberlin Brown return, which is part of why she did that Sarah Smythe crap in 2010. Even then, she would've destroyed Sheila so good for CBS for nipping that in the butt. If MAB ever bothered to take a gander at the critical reception both Yvonne Zima and Daisy received, she'd totally understand why they threw out that story. YZ was the worst actress on Y&R ever. Well, ofcourse Y&R are doing a terrible job on an amazing storyline. The paternity storyline had so much potential, but now they're gonna drag it out, so who cares anymore? Hi Arre. I've done an overall copyedit on Victor Newman, as well as condensing/trimming the storyline section as much as possible. I'll still put in a request with the Guild of Copyeditors, but that will most likely take time to happen so I see no reason in that holding up the GAN. Also, I had a question about the "Legacy" section, towards the end of it, it mentions how Eric Braeden thoroughly enjoyed the scenes with Victor and his mother. Is there a reason this quote is in this section? I figured the section would be more for reception type quotes and stuff. Just curious. Take a look at the article, and see what you think overall. Hmm about that quote. I didn't think it fit into characterization; it was more about the actor. I'm not sure. That's why I put it there. It wasn't really about enjoying the scenes, it was more about the impact the scenes left (it included heavy themes about war and adoption). The scene left a legacy that Braeden stated was the turning point of his acting career. Overall I think it's okay, altho few ref adjustments need to be made to Victor. Maybe it says that somewhere in another source? I'm fairly enjoying Y&R right now; someone really needs to give Hartley Sawyer a haircut, LOL. I'm still really puzzled why they recast Kyle, Blake Hood wasn't amazing, but if the history of American soap operas has taught us anything, it's that people are hired more by their physical appearance than anything. Hood and Sawyer are both mediocre actors, so I really don't know what went on there. I'm really not sure how they will write out Phyllis, but I don't think they'll recast (I hope not). What do you think of Dylan? I think someone dropped the ball on that character. Not to criticize Steve Burton (who's always amazing), but Dylan has been in some pretty front-and-center stories since his debut and the viewers know basically nothing about him. Random flashbacks do no justice at all, so essentially, I think JFP just wanted him on her show and that was that; no one really cared what the outcome was. Everyone is saying Y&R is being ruined by new characters, and while I must say that there have been a bit too many cast additions, most of them have just been short-term recurring characters, which I see no problem with to a degree, but sometimes I wish the random nobodies would stop showing up in place of other core characters, you know? The Tyler and Lily storyline has completely lost me, at this point I would actually enjoy seeing Lily cheat on Cane because "Lane" is just absolutely boring (and I think they always have been). But the best storyline on Y&R right now is the Baldwin family. It's extremely socially relevant, and the acting of Tracey Bregman and Christian LeBlanc is breath taking. Carmine is absolutely awful, I really want him to be killed off. But I here he's gonna be involved somehow with the mysterious stalker/blogger that's targeting the Winters/Michaelson clan, and that would be exciting. On a different note, I think Victor's article is pretty much good to go, are there anymore adjustments you want to make? I think we should be able to co-nominate soon. The impeccable acting makes up for the repetition I find. Well, I don't think Nick or Phyllis would ever actually let Summer sleep with Kyle, that's why she took him away to Chicago. I kinda thought Phyllis would be totally open to keeping the secret for Nick because she's been all jealous of him and would want to please him, but I'm glad she didn't do that. But I like how they've introduced this new cowardly side to Nick. It shows that even the strongest of characters have their weak points. But c'mon, that moment when Summer realizes she's been crushing on her brother all this time will be epic. Yes! That's the only thing that I don't like about the new characters; sometimes they use them more than other vets. Like some weeks the show should just be called The Dylan, Chelsea, Adam and Avery Show. I'm completely done with "Navery", I think she should dump him. And despite Josh Griffith saying he would rebuild Sharon, her character is still a mess. Do you think they're gonna do a Shick reunion, with the way Sharon has been acting around Nick lately? That's true, the acting is great. The writing is too. I just don't like the pace and pattern of the storyline. It could have been better. I would have preferred Lauren cheated with Paul, Lol. Cricket is supposed to be the D.A. of Genoa City, but she's barely even recurring anymore. I think her latest appearance was in late February, if I recall. They've spent almost two months building suspense over this paternity issue and to just ruin it like that, no thank you. I'm really curious why the show has been so "hush hush" about Camryn Grimes' return. Do you think they just want fans to start speculating that she's gonna play someone else? I'm guessing her ghost will visit both her parents (who are going through rough times) and that'll be that. But isn't it a bit unrealistic with Cassie's ghost, considering Grimes is basically an adult now?
