- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.

Request reason:
Hi Wikipedia, today I registered for an editing user; however, while I was away from my computer someone (namesake) had used my comments to make unrelated edits that are considered disruptive. When I returned I informed the individual to cease doing so, and these edits do not in any way correlate with the communal IP address, 67.218.90.4, the Hotchkiss School. These events will not happen in the future. Apologies for the anomaly, and I sincerely hope that you could help restore the editing access for the IP address so that everybody else may edit. With sincere appreciation!} 67.218.90.4 (talk) 01:54, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
"Someone else did it" doesn't really work as an unblock request. If that worked, everyone would use it. Also, it doesn't really matter who made the disruptive edits on an IP address. On shared IP addresses, the IP address is typically blocked because someone made disruptive edits, not because a specific person made disruptive edits. And, finally, it's probably best we keep this IP address blocked for a little while given the disruption from logged-in accounts, too. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:29, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- UTRS appeal #69217 is closed. I told them to request unblocking on their talk page. Will fix this one. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 02:03, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- IP, if you remove/modify a declined block request again, I will revoke Talk page access.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:04, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- I've lengthened this and marked it as a schoolblock to coincide with the previous 6 years of blockage. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 16:17, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
