Jonathan R.A. Maier (born November 11, 1977 in Durham, North Carolina) is a Lecturer in the General Engineering program at Clemson University. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, and Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees, also in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. He has published numerous papers in the field of design theory and methodology in scholarly journals and academic conferences, and is the author of the monograph Affordance Based Design.
