"one of the finest American imitations of an English country parish church." Since there is nothing visible in the illustration that would relate the design, its details or the materials used (whitewashed brick, shake shingles) to a parish church typical of any English county, one wonders what this is intended to convey? "English Gothic" is a field a lot broader than "Italian Renaissance" for instance.--Wetman (talk) 23:54, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
