Why is it a mix of the politician and the football player?

Shouldn't this be fixed to only be about the politician? It hasn't yet, and I'm new here, so I didn't fix it, but I imagine someone should? There is already a wiki page for the football player. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zanemcg (talkcontribs) 04:30, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Anthony Gonzalez (politician)Anthony Gonzalez (American football) – Back in January the page was moved to politician from being the primary topic. While it can be argued that he shouldn't be the primary topic, it should have been discussed how this page should be disambiguated. He received a page originally because of his football career. He just announced he's not going to seek a 2nd term so he's going a two-term representative. His career as a representative has been pretty unremarkable, the sole thing he's known for in his time in congress so far is being one of very few Republicans to vote in favor of Trump's 2nd impeachment trial (not trying to express my personal opinion on that hope it doesn't come across that way.) In regards to his football career, he was first team All-Big 10 and played 5 years in the NFL. Even several articles about him not seeking re-election mention his football career.
