The 2016 United States House of Representatives elections in New Jersey will be held on November 8, 2016, to elect the 12 U.S. Representatives from the state of New Jersey, one from each of the state's 12 congressional districts. The elections will coincide with the 2016 U.S. presidential election, as well as other elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the United States Senate and various state and local elections.
District 1
Democratic Party incumbent Donald Norcross was first elected to this seat in the 2014 election. Fellow Democrat Alex Law announced he would run for the seat in 2016 before Norcross' 2014 election.[1]
District 5
Republican Party incumbent Scott Garrett has served for seven terms. Josh Gottheimer, a former speechwriter for Bill Clinton and aide for the 2004 presidential campaign of John Kerry and the 2008 presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton, will run against Garrett as a Democrat.[2]
