The 2016 United States House of Representatives elections in Maryland will be held on November 8, 2016, to elect the eight U.S. Representatives from the state of Maryland, one from each of the state's eight congressional districts. The elections will coincide with the 2016 U.S. presidential election, as well as other elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the United States Senate and various state and local elections.

District 8

Incumbent Representative Chris Van Hollen, a member of the Democratic Party, has represented the district since 2003. Van Hollen will not run for reelection, so that he can run for the United States Senate seat being vacated by Barbara Mikulski, who is retiring. Kathleen Matthews, the wife of Chris Matthews, is expected to run for the Democratic nomination.[1]
