The 2016 Missouri gubernatorial election will be held on November 8, 2016 to elect the Governor of Missouri. Democrat Jay Nixon, the incumbent Governor, will not be eligible to run due to term limits.[1]
Chris Koster, the Democratic Attorney General of Missouri, is a potential candidate. Clint Zweifel, the State Treasurer and also a Democrat, has stated that he will not run.[1]
