Portals

Portal:Philadelphia should be added to this. --evrik (talk) 14:23, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are you talking about in the related portals section?--CPacker (talk) 17:18, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Paying attention

Please "raise your hand" if you are paying attention to this portal and are interested in working on it. I can tell from the history that there's very little action. I think it would be nice to see some activity here since we now have so many FA and other worthy articles about Pennsylvania. More visibility would be nice. Yes, I am paying attention to Pennsylvania articles, and also Philadelphia, Pittsbu8rgh and Lehigh Valley articles, and have contributed articles from scratch, and improved other articles. See my user page. --DThomsen8 (talk) 00:41, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My family were pioneers in Berlin, PA and I would like to add material and photos to that page. I would be ahppy to run it by whoever for approval. My problem is, I know nothing about wiki works or to whom to make my offer. Portal talk:Pennsylvania/Things you can do

How can I flag an article for expert review by this project, assuming that it's still alive? Example, this might affect more seals not limited to Pennsylvania. –Be..anyone (talk) 02:23, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@CPacker: This talk page is for discussing improvements to the portal. You're more likely to get a response at the project talk page, Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Pennsylvania. -- John of Reading (talk) 07:17, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notice from the Portals WikiProject

WikiProject Portals is back!

The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.

As of May 2nd, 2018, membership is at 60 editors, and growing. You are welcome to join us.

There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for improving each component of portals. So far, 2 new dynamic components have been developed: Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.

Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.

And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.

From your friendly neighborhood Portals WikiProject. Hope to see you there. Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   07:41, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Portal updated

This portal has been updated and expanded:

  • Overhauled portal with modernized wiki markup using transclusion from articles to display content, which provides readers with current, up-to-date information.
  • The portal now has new, separate Featured article and Good article sections.
  • New content was added to all article sections of the portal, including the Selected article and Selected geography article sections.
  • Additional updates, cleanup and layout changes have been performed.
  • Additional articles for the portal can be considered from those available in the table listed below. North America1000 03:54, 3 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Articles

The following articles are presently being displayed in the portal using transclusion from articles. Consensus at VPP has approved using transclusion templates in portals, which provides users with up-to-date content that is verbatim to that in articles.
