Spammers

I've been a bit generous here and omitted accounts with only one edit. See the COIBot reports if you want them.

These aren't spam pages, they were not created (merely hijacked) by the company to promote their site. Stop trying to get them deleted, it's counterproductive. MER-C 08:22, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

IP ranges for Internet Brands:

Revertlisted all domains temporarily. I'd expect some of them to stay there. MER-C 12:20, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An interesting footnote

I made a trip to Wikicars and found the following deletion log entries.

  1. 04:48, 6 May 2010 Carguy deleted "User talk:LuvWikis"
  2. 00:07, 6 May 2010 beenine deleted "User:LuvWikis"

6 May is the day after I first posted here and the links from internetbrands.com (e.g. [1]) to WP were nuked.

LuvWikis is now beenine. There is no contribution listing for this user. One edit this user made was on June 2006. wikicars.org/en/Wikicars:About says "Wikicars was started in June, 2006" two months before "Public launch: August 2, 2006". And why is he talking about SEO?

Looks like records of this user's contributions were expunged from the database using a shell prompt by the server admins. It's a similar story for other languages. Now why would Internet Brands want to do that?

(P.S. I screenshotted all of these. If INET nukes them, expect the screenshots to be uploaded to WP.) MER-C 10:53, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
