Open/Close

Guys, let's decide one way or the other, if this RFA should be kept open, instead of going back and forth. It's been closed twice now, and, re-opened twice now. Let's come to a consensus on the matter before anyone else closes it. SQLQuery me! 23:56, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the second close was incorrect as an admin's decision was ignored without giving any reason. WP:CRAT#Promotions also clearly states that the requesting user should be given a chance to withdraw and in this case we can assume that the candidate is able to understand and choose himself without any need for us to make that decision for them. So I think Aitias correctly reverted both closes, after all he notified the candidate that they should decide themselves. Regards SoWhy 00:02, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with you, that both closes were correctly reverted. After two now, however, we should probably stop, and talk about it, before anyone else forcibly closes this. Assuming anyone else wants to, that is. (However, I would recommend that the candidate withdraw at this time... I've seen stranger turn completely around and pass, tho.) I have already explained why this should not be closed per NOTNOW at several other places, especially at neuro's talk page (User_talk:Neurolysis#Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship.2FHereford). — Aitias // discussion 00:20, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it is over now, just noting that I didn't see the earlier close. neuro(talk) 17:16, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just keep this closed.HereFord 17:57, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
