AfD 2010–2011 anti-government protests merged here??

I've never seen a deletion discussion merged into a similar one and that texts evidently merged. These are two different articles. The anti-government protests obviously of lesser merit. If this is wiki-legal, please explain. If not, please undo it immediately. Meanwhile I'll be checking policy. CarolMooreDC (talk) 17:35, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'm not sure about this either. I've raised this at Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion. Cordless Larry (talk) 17:40, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
My impression was that consensus was building to merge in the opposite direction, i.e. merge the 'worldwide protests' article into the 'anti-government protests'. Perhaps someone didn't like the way the !vote was going and tried to pre-empt the result. --Alan the Roving Ambassador (talk) 17:46, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Either way it has to be done through correct process. CarolMooreDC (talk) 17:47, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, and the point is that it wasn't just the articles that were merged, but the AfD discussions as well. Cordless Larry (talk) 17:49, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
So who wants to revert it?? The sooner, the easier.... CarolMooreDC (talk) 19:21, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The edit can't be undone due to conflicting intermediate edits. I'll see if I can get an admin to assist. Cordless Larry (talk) 19:46, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It turns out that it was actually three AfDs. Hopefully it's now being sorted out. Cordless Larry (talk) 20:45, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for report to ANI; I commented there to encourage them to do the work. :-) CarolMooreDC (talk) 19:42, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
