Wikipedia:WikiProject Editor Retention/Wikipedia rudiments/Use talk pages

Source: Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Wikipedia relies on editors talking to each other to work out any disagreements on what should be in an article. Use the talk page for the page being modified to hold any related discussions. See Help:Talk pages for more instructions on using talk pages, including how to access them. Every user has their own user talk page that you can use to speak to someone directly. For example, you can leave someone a message pointing them to a discussion you have started on another talk page, such as an article talk page. Because discussions about article content are open for everyone's feedback, they should held on the article talk page, rather than a user talk page.
