This by Satish Raman Nair and this restoration by Sanju Chunks 2121 in the article 2.0 (film). Also similar editing in the 2.0 (soundtrack) article. See [1], [2] Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:26, 2 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Recreated page that was intially created by prior sockpuppets [3]. Edits thus far are to articles created by prior socks. Quite the WP:DUCK. Ravensfire (talk) 02:11, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The user name is pretty similar - Satish is used in several of the prior accounts and Suja is closish to Sanju (swap vowels and drop a litter). The edits by the new account are focused a lot on splitting off soundtracks for films into separate articles. Just like the prior accounts, it's done by copy-paste without the required attribution - see warnings on User talk:Satish Raman Nair. The same issues are on Suja account. The big smoking gun are Bigil (soundtrack) and Mersal (soundtrack), both of which originally were created by Sanju the King, deleted and then recreated a few days ago by Suja. Both the new account and a prior sock tried to use requested moves to get a draft moved into article space faster - [4] and [5]. It's the same patten - copy paste splits of mostly non-notable albums Ravensfire (talk) 13:55, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Cyphoidbomb - there's a fair bit of cleanup as well. Once their blocked, I'll start going through what's been created/moved and will revert/tag as needed. I wish they'd just asked to be unblocked and worked through the issues. Assuming they don't have unknown socks out there, they were getting close to six months for WP:SO. This is a big of an IP cluster-f*** and who knows if these can be verified after over a year, but worth checking. The first IP I came across was 49.205.81.139. I was reviewing a draft (Draft:Raja Rani (soundtrack)), the AFCH helper script notified me that the article had been previously G5 deleted as a creation of User:Suja Satish 77. Checking the history led me to the second IP 183.82.189.247, who I noticed has submitted a number of album drafts listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Article alerts#AFC. Several of these were previous G5s of the same sock above (though some are new). There is less to go on for the last IP, but it was listed because one of those submissions on the Album alerts page also overlapped with a G5 from Suja Satish 77. It's admittedly more of a stretch as the other submissions are brand new, or overlap with a different sock puppet's G5. I'll tabulate the articles that I came across below. 2pou (talk) 21:27, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • The IPs haven't edited in over a month, so no point blocking them. However, I've G5'd:
Draft:Aayirathil Oruvan (soundtrack)
Draft:Baashha (soundtrack)
Draft:Thalapathi (soundtrack)
'96 (soundtrack)
Jigarthanda (soundtrack)
Cuckoo (soundtrack)
Draft:Raja Rani (soundtrack)
Minsara Kanavu (soundtrack)
Annaamalai (soundtrack)
Ramanujan (soundtrack)

I don't actually think Kailash29792 is a sock, but there's been a sequence of events that's so bizarre, it needs to be recorded in the archives, if only to head off a lot of head-scratching by future clerks trying to figure it out. After asking me on my talk page to restore a bunch of G5'd pages (which I declined to do) Kailash29792 states that they found Draft:Nadhigalile Neeradum Suriyan and Draft:Asuran (soundtrack) which are WP:BE by Satish Raman Nair. They then copy-pasted the G5-able drafts to mainspace, and nominated the drafts for MfD at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Nadhigalile Neeradum Suriyan and Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Asuran (soundtrack). The mind boggles. I'll leave this for another clerk to work on, because I guess at this point I'm WP:INVOLVED. -- RoySmith (talk) 13:45, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Unlikely to be socking, Kailash29792 has 182k edits spanning a decade. There has been news coverage on both items (drafts/articles) recently, which probably prompted the interest. Definitely bizarre and out of process copy-paste and then MfD (citing block evasion no less).--Eostrix  (🦉 hoot hoot🦉) 14:55, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I'm aware of the long editing history. That's what earned the AGF required for me to not block on sight as an obvious sock, because from a behavioral standpoint, that's exactly what this looks like. I still would like to hear an explanation of why they thought what they were doing was legitimate. -- RoySmith (talk) 21:06, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - Very unlikely to be a sock of anyone, I think this is a well-intentioned but not so well implemented cleanup. The recently archived SPI filing here had several examples of Indian movies where the soundtrack was split into an independent article when it really wasn't warranted. That was something that SRN was doing and continued with socks and has kept going with IP's. They have a certain preferred style and frankly don't care what anyone else thinks. Cleanup can be a pain at times. Ravensfire (talk) 15:28, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
