Suspected sockpuppets

Original case is at Wikipedia:Suspected_sock_puppets/Pretzky. A second case is at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Pretzky/Archive.

Pretzky was found to have used: Paullinho
PParueltiznkhyo (note: PParueltiznkhyo and PParueltiznkhyo)
WarmieMilk
WarmieMilkGroup
Dj mikv
Bigant1892
SoSoDef DjMikV

Note "P.R.E.T.Z.K.Y.Y." and "PaulinhoO" are additional examples of abbreviations for "PParueltiznkhyo". P.R.E.T.Z.K.Y.Y. has edited 9 articles. 5 of them have been edited by known socks listed here: Drop (Rich Boy song), Fantasy Ride, Loso's Way, Love vs. Money, Nelly. The other 4 edits include an edit undoing a warning I have repeatedly added to Theater of the Mind, resolving a contentious issue[1] and another to ask how tall "Natasha" is (in the article)[2].

PaulinhoO has been indefinitely blocked as a sock of Pretzky. P.R.E.T.Z.K.Y.Y. was created 01:02, 9 March 2009

MPHO MAHAFHA was created 06:34, 12 February 2009 and has been used almost exclusively to edit Nelly articles. The only exceptions are three edits to Murphy Lee articles. All of these articles have been edited by the socks listed. (Note: I can’t find "MPHO MAHAFHA" in "PParueltiznkhyo"…)

None of the socks and suspected socks have ever used an edit summary. None have ever edited a talk page or responded to talk page posts (except for WarmieMilk's attempt to add an image Pretzky uploaded to his user page).

I am requesting a check user to determine if there are other user names associated with the 11 found so far.

Seems like Pretzky is back yet again. Username is a bunch of random characters, as past socks Osapkaopjdisaj (talk · contribs) and ASJIIOJASJDSJOIAJIO (talk · contribs). This sock and past socks have edited the same articles:

Additionally, Diojsfodnsfjdkfdjkn uploads images without licenses, summaries or fair use rationales, like this and this. Past socks, including ASJIIOJASJDSJOIAJIO and Osapkaopjdisaj, also uploaded images with the same issues. — ξxplicit 19:54, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would also like to add that there may also be some meatpuppetry going on. As noted here, Pretzky is apparently part of an unsigned music group, Warmie. According to the link I provided, Warmie's additional two members are BayBay and Young Jay, which may also be creating accounts. If more than one IP address is included, it might be worth checking to see if the IP addresses all come from Brazil. — ξxplicit 20:32, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know anything about Pretzky, really, but I saw that User:AFIFPUCDLROW was recently (18:58, 26 June 2010) blocked for being a Pretzky sock. Whatever the reasons were for that (and I have no idea what they were; I don't the connection), they will probably apply to User:0102AFIFPUCDLROW, who I just noticed editing Nelly 5.0 (1, 2). The edit history for that article features AFIFPUCDLROW already (as well as a User:454erpsfgcotranov, whose user name reminds me of the random-sequence names I saw discussed on the SPI page. I've added to this case, although my suspicions are hardly strong on this one). — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 22:38, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Based purely on technical data, I can say that the following two are  Likely the same:

It's technically  Possible that the following and the above are all the same:

It's hard to find anything conclusive, and hard work to do a sleeper check. Did so anyway, the only two possibilities that weren't already sock-blocked don't match per behavior. It doesn't appear to be his MO anyway, he doesn't need to create sleepers, just moves from sock to sock with every block. Rangeblocks are right out. Amalthea 13:25, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I usually have no problems and tagging Pretzky socks without the use of the SPI page, but this account throws me off just a little. Although MisterObama96 has similar editing tendencies with Pretzky, like editing Nelly-related articles, there are two things that throw me off. First, the username doesn't really fall into line of Pretzky's usual standards: Category:Suspected Wikipedia sockpuppets of Pretzky. Additionally, and the most important piece that leads me to a bit of doubt, MisterObama96 has actually edited his own user talk page, as well as that of another user. From my experience with dealing with Pretzky for two years now, not once has he attempted to edit a user talk page in the past, from the master account or otherwise. Although, I will note that past socks have edit article talk pages (example), but not for discussion purposes. It's still not crystal clear, at least to me, that this is 100% Pretzky. — ξxplicit 06:50, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
