Suspected sockpuppets


Both users creating poorly sourced or non sourced BLPs on Badminton players of questionable notability. [1] [2], with the master having previously been blocked for disruption (ANI thread) for this reason.

Articles are also written in a similar manner - compare Taiki Shimada on creation - "Taiki Shimada female badminton player from Japan. She plays in the mixed's doubles with Yoshinori Takeuchi. She participated in the 2014 U.S. Open Grand Prix, and many more."; with Yeung Shing Choi - "Yeung Shing Choi male badminton player from Hong Kong. He plays in the men's doubles with Mak Hee Chun. They participated in the 2016 Chinese Taipei Masters, and many more." - notice the near identical wording between articles written by both users.

The near identical nature of both users articles convince me to believe that they are the same user. Wgolf has also came to my talk page with suspicions of sockpupperty. [3] sandgemADDICT yeah? 06:20, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Here is much too much paranoia in the game. I invested a lot of time into the articles of this user to make from the stubs a little bit better stubs. This is not a way good for Wikipedia like it went here. Your blocking the user and then you are wondering when he creates articles (no vandalism!!!) under a new name??? So it has been established that several accounts belong to one person. But there is no abusive or illegitimate behaviour. He just is an unexperienced user whose first language is not English. Added Zamakh1986 and Muhammad Fuad, new users on 2016 Hong Kong Super Series, and basically nearly every other named account that has edited that article has been a Muhd FUad sock. I'm not sure CU will be helpful given the age of the last account however there is significant overlap with the master and several others as well as similar rapid edit style and tone...I'll also point out they registered less than 24 hours ago and have nearly 400 edits which indicates to me this is not the first account... I suspect that User:69top have a relationship with Sockpuppet investigations:Muhd FUad.This user continuously creating badminton players article withous good refs, can't prove that the articles are notable living persons from the refs, and some of the refs doesn't support the statement in the text (Please check: Arnaud Merkle, Ren Xiangyu, Li Wenmei and another articles created by this user). Some of the articles also give a wrong information just like in Ren Xiangyu page. User:69top adding Summer Universiade medal results in the infobox, but there is no Summer Universiade event in 2018. I think that the user just try to translate the article from the Chinese Wikipedia, and all he can do just to fill the infobox and achievement results table just like another Muhd FUad sockpuppet did.
