Suspected sockpuppets


WP:DUCK. Vinmunesh edits almost only exclusively articles in which Jschauhan (which is blocked) was involved. See [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]. The editing errors are quite similar with unreliable sources and citations that do not verify facts. As Jschauhan is blocked this is an attempt to use multiple accounts for block avoidance. The sock claims he is master on his user page.
I am not sure if i should report this here or not. The user is not using two accounts at a time. But the master was blocked for quite serious reasons of copyrights violation. I haven't gone through his new contributions much.   • I'm tempted to say that we should just keep an eye on his contributions for a while, and if nothing comes up, leave it be. WP:CLEANSTART exists, and he's at the very least documented that he's got an old account. Sven Manguard Wha? 05:08, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Cleanstart applies only to accounts without current sanctions or blocks, which is incorrect in this case. OhanaUnitedTalk page 16:46, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets


This is more being opened to update the prior SPI and to check to see if there are any accounts that haven't already been found and tagged. From what I can surmise, Jschauhan was blocked for copyright issues but also had issues with sourcing and BLP claims.

At some point he started editing again and it looks like one of his biggest tells is that he's trying to popularize the term "Brijwood", which he came up with. The article was deleted at AfD and I note that the original article has an extremely large slew of socks. Some of these are stale, but others (Hema2016, Jschauhan2016, Jsc2016, Cuty2016) are fairly recent.

As I'm mostly unfamiliar with their other edits, I'm going to ping SpacemanSpiff to this since he's one of the admins that has repeatedly deleted Brijwood and might be able to give more evidence. Tokyogirl79 (｡◕‿◕｡) 07:45, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Created Avnish Rahi, a horribly promotional article which was previously created by confirmed sock Jsc16. While I don't know how identical it is to the previously deleted version, it was created in one single edit (presumably copypasted from a local file), and it also includes an image uploaded by Jsc16. bonadea contributions talk 07:31, 27 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I was ready to block Siajch and Siaj2016 behaviorally before the CU results so I'm happy to link the two groups behaviorally. I've blocked the first group as proven and the second group as confirmed. Paras7674 created Jsc16's user page with "JS Chauhan is a actor and anchor." before Jsc16's block who is a confirmed sock of Jschauhan and then s/he recreated Yukti kapoor using "k" as lowecase which earlier created by LakshMila, Yukti kappoor and Sidluk who are possibly be related to this group or definitely to each other for repeatedly creating Yukti Kapoor.

Am a little bit confuse here because the first edit of Paras7674 as I can see was a request to recreate Mohit Baghel at Vanjagenije talk page. Mohit Baghel was the subject of another socking group Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mandalesshwar Singh and Paras7674 repeated the same thing as user:Neha Gurjar (a confirmed sockpuppet of Mandalesshwar Singh) who also requested to recreate Mohit Baghel at NeemNarduni2 talk page and the use of comma (,) after Hello is very common in both users and if we look at an edited version of their message the use of "Enter" (to give line break) is exactly the same (see this and this).

To me, it sounds like a group of undisclosed paid editors who mostly create articles about non-notable actors. GSS (talk) 11:42, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
