Suspected sockpuppets

From there edit history, i can see both have history of creating non notable articles. Anyway, here, i am discussing notability of Nicole Kehrberger with "user:Doratig" but suddenly "user:AlejandroLeloirRey" voted keep their, although i can see so far user:AlejandroLeloirRey didn't edited anything other then Carlo Masi (& discussion of Carlo Masi). I'm suspecting they might be sock. Please check & make sure no sock involved here. আফতাবুজ্জামান (talk) 15:33, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Their first, thus far only, edit has been to vote keep at an article at AfD created by the suspected master account, who was globally locked for spamming only a few minutes before this account was created. signed, Rosguill talk 20:41, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Doratig (talk · contribs) is  Confirmed to

The last of these has no edits. Also,  Confirmed to each other are:

A steward, User:Tks4fish, has just locked Doratig and Neverstopthat on 7 February per an action independent of mine. Doratig and Playfield are editing from different countries though they both have an interest in Giovanni Morassutti. Checkuser finds no connection between Doratig and Playfield, though they might be in off-wiki communication. Luca.caserta's only edit on any wiki is this one. The actor Morassutti (article edited by Doratig) appeared in a film directed by a man named Luca Caserta. Due to the strong subject-matter connections between Doratig and Playfield, keeping in mind that Doratig was sock-blocked on the Italian Wikipedia, I went ahead with SPI blocks for all the accounts (except Doratig and Neverstopthat, who are already globally locked). EdJohnston (talk) 01:25, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Update: User:Tks4fish has just now locked AlejandroLeloirRey (talk · contribs) who is mentioned above in the archive of this SPI. EdJohnston (talk) 02:13, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The suspected sock's account was created today, made five edits to seemingly random articles, and then voted to keep in an AfD that Doratig has already tried to disrupt with a sockpuppet before. signed, Rosguill talk 17:57, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Farfall (talk · contribs) recreated Giovanni Morassutti at Draft:Giovanni Enrico Morassutti; Askadvice (talk · contribs) showed up after Farfall was locked and clearly had an old axe to grind with Praxidicae ([1]). Flexul (talk · contribs) showed up after Askadvice was also blocked and locked to continue the work. --Blablubbs|talk 11:11, 9 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

usual paid editing around Giovanni Morassutti (this time they succeeded in publishing), plus a bunch of other related actors and edits meant to confuse the pattern. User:Montavanelli is the most useful sock to compare in terms of CU data. Vituzzu (talk) 00:16, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Additional information needed - Vituzzu: Rogaki and Submarine00 are  Confirmed to one another, but it looks like all the socks in the archive are stale over here, as is Saraino, and the stuff in the cu logs doesn't help me tie them back to Doratig or to Montavanelli. I see that Rogaki is blocked as a sock on itwiki - was there a cu-confirmation over there? Thanks Girth Summit (blether) 12:27, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Girth Summit: yup, I blocked Rogaki by checking it against logs, I had no data Submarine00 and Saraino. --Vituzzu (talk) 21:25, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks - I'm on my phone now, but will try to get a chance to look at this tomorrow. Should any other admin or clerk chance upon this before I get back to it, note my comment above that two of these accounts are confirmed to one another here, and confirmed to a sock on itwiki. The master is glocked, so locks should be requested on meta. Girth Summit (blether) 22:04, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • OK, based on Vituzzu's findings on itwiki, and my finding that Submarine00 and Rogaki are confirmed here, I'm blocking and requesting locks. Saraino is stale, and would require behavioural investigation. Girth Summit (blether) 08:37, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • I don't think that a behavioral investigation is worth it and even if they were them a block wouldn't be preventative and it isn't like their username is a violation as well. I would recommend re-reporting if they reappear with that account and deal with it then; it's been inactive for nearly a year so far. Closing. TheSandDoctor Talk 22:08, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Per the January 2023 SPI at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Doratig/Archive#04_January_2023 which looked at this account and said to "recommend re-reporting if they reappear with that account and deal with it then". This account had been silent since March 2022 at that point. Since the SPI was closed it has made some talk page queries, and today contested a speedy deletion of Giovanni Morassutti.

User's only other edits have been to write the Art Aia - Creatives In Residence article, an organisation which Giovanni Morassutti is the founder of. Belbury (talk) 15:54, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There's potentially another sleeper (if needed, CU's it's in the log) but no edits yet so can't be sure. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 07:19, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • It seems unlikely that there would be another unrelated editor misusing multiple accounts with the same interests. Normally, I'd leave Sansartosi alone, given how long this account has been inactive, but since this editor has already shown a willingness to revive old accounts, I've  Blocked and tagged both.
