 Sounds like a duck quacking into a megaphone to me. This account was dormant from the 31st of August till the 7th of September. Their previous sockpuppet was blocked a day earlier on the 6th. Therefore this is a dormant account, and there might be more of them. Self-endorsed by clerk for checkuser attention to find any other of these sleepers. I've  Blocked and tagged the sock already. @Amanda: Wow. I've been dealing with a home emergency involving a washing machine and unapproved discharged of water, so I haven't gotten to this all that much. The little I had done was pushing me more and more that DT wasn't a sock of Pakistanipedia or Drama just based on edit-summary usage and grammar. To be clear, none of this should be connected to Pakistanpedia. I went back and reviewed the case that merged this and Pakistanpedia & Dramanrama was stale at the time of checking. While a login may have been possible to have been found in CU, I highly doubt that is the case as no such data exists today. Even the CU log from previous Pakistanpedia checks show a different part of the country. @Oshwah: as the CU that ran this. So a clerk needs to move this all over to Bttowadch. Created after prior socks blocked, lots of edits in a short time related to Pakistani television, the usual area. Edits show high familiarity with wikicode[1], and many of the articles they've hit have edits from prior Btt socks.

  • CheckUser requested and endorsed by clerk - It's certainly possible, but in the diffs Ravensfire presented, the new guy uses {{UK}}, {{Ind}}, etc while the previous socks use {{flag}}.     • One thing I wrote on Ravensfire's talk page while I was verbalising my thought process about one of the socks:
      • "I noticed in the Bttowadch there was some indication he was into International broadcast details, including with flagicons, and I see some of that with this guy, who seems to show up in lots of articles both Pakistanpedia and Btt both edit. But this new guy is also not internally consistent, like here the style of International broadcast is different.
    • So I think they are deliberately using slightly different editing techniques to throw off their scent. In some cases he might use one flag template, in another case he might use another, and in some cases he'll just do bulleted lists with no icons. @Oshwah: I'm beginning to suspect this is a paid editing ring rather than the same person. They are all in the same country but have different locations and computer info. Can this be a group paid to promote certain people? What is the essence of this user? What does this user do with socks that is against the rules other than evading blocks? Steve M - It's possible they might be, but the problem is... if they're using their own workstations and IP addresses to do this, it's not going to be easy to confirm with technical evidence. There's this sequence of edits by another sock of the puppeteer, user:Aapka Aana DilDharkana, which while not exactly a match with this edit by the new puppet, is pretty darn close. And then there's this edit by the other sock, which is an exact edit of the sock's. And then there's the edit similarity comparison between the two socks. @Cyphoidbomb: Would an LTA page be appropriate or inappropriate in this case? This farm aren't trolls doing this for negative attention, so WP:DENY doesn't apply here. In fact, no person being promoted would want to be associated with someone with an LTA page. I have no real opinion about the utility of an LTA page. And, editors, myself included, have found it difficult to distinguish Pakistanpedia from Bttowadch and Bttowadch from Patimarmeshwar, and so forth. I don't know if there is a real master, they all just blend together as one massive timesuck. So I'm not sure how an LTA page would address that. @Cyphoidbomb: Makes sense. If we are able to find any difference though, then that would strengthen the case for an LTA page, as that would give the much-needed information. Maybe we should call comeone that is very good at SPI to investigate these farms and alleged socks? SPI is a very complex process, and I am very limited in this field, as it involves a lot of uncertainty, guessing, and judgement, which are things that I am unable to do very effectively.   • Looks consistent with Bttowadch. I notice them here for instance, and at other targets. I'm also adding Hasilpur to the list and asking for CU, since they have several intersections at new articles. So either coordination or socking, as per usual. The cleanup this time could be difficult because they're monkeying around by logging out and using different ranges. For example this is an article created by Hasilpur, who appears to log-out, then make a change a few minutes after creating the article from Sindh, Pakistan IP 39.34.162.67 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) from PTCL. Then, a few hours later, a Sindh, Pakistan IP 119.160.118.153 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) from Mobilink Mobile Internet makes a change. 2 hours later, Raqeebsay makes some changes. It would be helpful if in the future you could please include examples of how it is ducky, since I deal with many different problem editors and might forget this disruptive user's hallmarks, or another admin might be looking at this and would need more info. In this case, I tend to agree that it is ducky based on this edit where a prior sock opines about the show's critical response, and this edit where a similar opinion is added by Directway121. Username alone would be a soft-block for Bot in the name, but this is a pretty obvious sock of Bttowadch. Early edits are to request redirects be created, which has been a recent trend of theirs, especially on IP addresses. User phaans is creating Iltija page again which was deleted many times before. It was earlier created by Pakistanpedia and Dramanrama. I suspect all these users are linked because creating the same page again despite of being deleted many times, therefore, requesting a check. Adding BeauSuzanne as they have recreated at least two articles originally created by socks:

Hina Rizvi, Page log. Originally created by Dramanrama, a blocked sock of Pakistanpedia, later recreated by Pakistanpedia, G5 deleted.
Danielle McRae, Draft:Danielle McRae Page log, G5, created by MeemeeAi. MeemeeAi is also a blocked sock of Pakistanpedia, Draft was G5 deleted in 2019. The article was originally deleted in 2016 as part of AfD. I nominated it again yesterday before I realized the history.

  • Hello @User:RoySmith CheckUser search from last month found SemonLee was deemed likely to UmatiKhan, and that UmatiKhan was confirmed to SajidMir2. In terms of the behavioral evidence, the SemonLee account was following/reinstating edits by other previously blocked SajidMir2/SheryOfficial accounts, including Huwalhabib, Biskut Merry, and others. There are a few ways to interpret this, but at a minimum these accounts were colluding with each other and most likely doing so on the same wide subnets. Created just a few days after the prior sock TeriJhukiNazar was blocked. Created Khamoshiyan (film) [55] which as the note on the article says should be at Khamoshiyan (TV series) but that page was deleted as created by a Bttowadch sock. The new title is an attempt to evade attention. History of Ankahi shows edits from multiple prior Bttowadch socks [56]. Same for New York Se New Karachi. This is weird one. If you look at their interaction history, you see an overlap of interest. If you compare the articles they have created, you see a definite similarity between the two.
