It might not be possible to tell for sure, but see this "manifesto", and this weird rant; where an admin blocked the IP as an obvious sock. might be a sock as well.

Also, the manifesto basically is taunting us, saying we're not going to stop him from trolling. -- RockstoneSend me a message! 16:48, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • CU  Check declined – Checkusers will not link accounts to IPs, per the privacy policy. 2/3 IPs are already blocked. I don't think 37.48.25.177 is related - wrong geolocation and it just looks like random vandalism. Closing. Thanks, Spicy (talk) 03:28, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I observed the abuse filter logs, and noticed that Mayson.Jones was disallowed by edit filters from making changes to other editors' user pages. The user's first edits were attempts to add sock puppetry templates to the user space of other accounts. This is obviously suspicious, as this user is definitely not new. I also noted that a discussion at ANI involving this user was occurring here. After investigating the technical data, the list of users is a result of the investigation and findings. All accounts are indefinitely blocked and tagged; this SPI report is being filed retro-actively for historical and record-keeping purposes, and will be closed upon submission. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 11:00, 4 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I just declined a check against Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/CafeGurrier66, but looking closer at the matter, I think there's a case to be made for one against Awolf58/Mrbeastmodeallday. This edit removing MBMAD's name at Talk:United States is incredibly suspicious, and the subsequent targeting of CactiStaccingCrane, who had been professing strength in the face of MBMAD's disruption, is in-line with MBMAD's recent harassment of various perceived enemies. The generally CIR-ish behavior in projectspace is as fitting for MBMAD as it is for CafeGurrier. Focus is on articles about countries or other major topics and their talk pages, like MBMAD. Many edits adding links to "X in <country>" on country articles [1] [2] [3], much like MBMAD [4] [5] [6]. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 06:49, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Something is clearly up with these 3, but are they Awolf58/Mrbeastmodeallday? Targeting MBMAD's perennial haunt of Talk:United States and recent target CactiStaccingCrane's most-edited article, SpaceX Starship. I'm just about ready to block on behavioral, and may yet do so, but CU would be nice to confirm they're at least in the same geographical area. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 20:39, 11 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Created 18 hours after I semi'd Awolf58/Mrbeastmodeallday's favorite page, Talk:United States, for a month. Immediately dove in to talk pages and articles about countries (China, Russia, Canada) and other current-events topics (Assassination of Shinzo Abe, Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization); compare [7] and the evidence in § 10 July 2022. Less than 24 hours after becoming autoconfirmed, made their way to Talk:United States. Then made another comment, this one to criticize CactiStaccingCrane (see previous filings), as well as to undo a past change that CSC had made to the archival setup to get MBMAD disruption off the page faster. Userpage says they're a fan of the Golden State Warriors, a team local to MBMAD that plays in a sport MBMAD is a fan of. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 08:40, 18 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Obvious shenanigans with the username. Seems like they may be a returning sock. Don't often see WP:BANREVERT editing from a two week old account. reverts a blocked sock with one account, reverts the talk page with the other. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 20:15, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Special:Diff/1099477941 and Special:Diff/1099483806 look quite suspicious. Two accounts created less than an hour apart, making these almost identical edits to talk pages of more established users (likely to be returning user(s) in some form). The former account's edits also loosely follow some patterns of other blocked socks – hopefully this doesn't keep spiraling out of control, but there could be a broader connection. Would like a second opinion regarding CheckUser. ComplexRational (talk) 01:45, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This account wasn't caught in the last CU sweep, and so may be using a different IP address block, but is part of harassing Randy Kryn and is using the same trick of small l and large I. • I just came across editor User:WDTRT who created a fake Randy Kryn user page and redirect the real User page to it. Since the fake page was quickly tagged for speedy deletion as a nonexistent editor, it ended up causing the deletion of Randy Kryn's actual user page. I don't know if this is the same editor but he seems to be target Randy Kryn for some reason. Liz Read! Talk! 02:50, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Popped up on my watchlist via an automobile article, editing history shows that within their first couple of edits they've left a message at Randy Kryn's talk page regarding the Founding Fathers (typical of this user). Unfortunately this person seems very dedicated to creating sockpuppets but isn't too good at hiding his editing habits... Awolf58 has previously been involved in sockpuppetry at Talk:United States (see protection log), and the day after a section on the talk page called Manifest Destiny was created, this account was made [8][9]. Aside from editing United States, an article that Awolf58 had previously heavily edited under sock User:Mrbeastmodeallday, Manisfest Destiny has also been following the edits of Mason.Jones (courtesy ping) across multiple articles [10][11][12]. Note that Awolf58 had previously impersonated Mason using the sock User:Mayson.Jones. ‡ Night Watch ω (talk) 15:17, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@The Night Watch could you check the spelling of that username? "MANlFEST DESTINY" is not registered on this wiki. Please check CentralAuth to see if the account is registered on other wikis. -- RoySmith (talk) 15:25, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@RoySmith corrected, thanks. More l vs I stuff ‡ Night Watch ω (talk) 15:25, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The editor with a history as "MrBeastModeAllDay" was angered by a couple of my grammatical changes, then followed me/reverted me under a similar username to mine, "Mayson.Jones." He had a later dispute with several other regular editors of "United States" over the term manifest destiny, then adopted that name as a new moniker. Today he reverted an old edit of mine, and in his edit summary (strangely) berated me because another editor had reverted him. Mason.Jones (talk) 16:01, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hmm I don't see it: the attempted edit (caught by the filter) looks like basic incompetence and carelessness to me, not something that Awolf is known for. Drmies (talk) 14:52, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    @Drmies: Looking a bit deeper, it seems like you may be right. JiafeiInformated had made a post to the Teahouse within a few hours after Jamaal5 had posted there. I searched and found a mildly popular TikToker named Ayaan-Jamaal5 (the attempted edit made by JiafeiInformated mentioned that "Jamal is a tiktok star"), so I think JiafeiInformated recognized the name after seeing Jamaal5 on the Teahouse page and mistook the account's user page as article space or something. Kind of an odd circumstance. Regardless, this can be closed. Uhai (talk) 18:39, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    Sorry to butt in, but "Jamal" is also an pseudonym for a caricature of a young black male, and is also very, very popular on TikTok too. Just a possibly when they mentioned Jamal as being a star.
