Suspected sockpuppets

This account, created within hours of NomanPK44's last edit, has since created Pathankot airstrike, Battle of Kasur (1965), Draft:Rajasthan Front, and Draft:Battle of Dali, all four of which are pages created by NomanPK44 and subsequently deleted. While this might be a different (and new) Pakistani editor, I thought the very quick creation of four articles all previously created by Noman to be suspicious. • Going to need a clerk to look into this. I can confirm this sockupppet directly to two accounts currently in Category:Suspected Wikipedia sockpuppets of Pr0pulsion 123. I'm going to block to stop disruption and let the process play out for a tagging/merging of categories investigation. Courcelles (talk) 16:04, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
NotToji is an exact match to suspected socks Hevexhexen and Akaspo. NomanPK44 appears to be on a different continent. The archived investigation here of 28 November 2022 should be read when deciding how to tag. Courcelles (talk) 16:08, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Split case from NomanPK44 to Pr0pulsion 123. Closing. Thanks, Spicy (talk) 14:49, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Passes WP:DUCK test. Created only 3 hours after the master was blocked and adds the same source about "India-Pakistan in War and Peace" on Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 when editing infobox.[1][2] Azuredivay (talk) 01:17, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

user Laispike created Bigzzad and in the Discussion user TheIraqiAmericanYXT voted a keep stating exactly like Laispike that IMDB is a reliable source and it should be kept, Both of them seems to be 1 person only. Dtt1Talk 07:44, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

These accounts are  Likely to each other and belong to this SPI case

These accounts are Red X Unrelated to the above but  Confirmed to each other and using different devices:

The latter group is probably an older master that hasn't been identified and I have filed a different case and still looking but this SPI case should be moved to reflect this master.

  •  Clerk note: Cases merged. Closing. GeneralNotability (talk) 23:25, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
GeneralNotability, question (for my own edification): I noticed some of these are tagged as Tunedel socks, some as سب سے بڑی گڑبڑ. Is it worth the effort to re-tag unifomly? -- RoySmith (talk) 00:15, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The tags are correct RoySmith. The second group belong to the other case and should not be tagged with this case.

  • I am a checkuser, not a clerk. This case is currently awaiting a clerk to endorse or decline the request. As an opinion only, I suggest this may be suitable for a checkuser; that is, I think this could be endorsed. Note that the important data is likely stale so there's a good chance a checkuser could not provide a strong result. --Yamla (talk) 21:51, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • The old accounts are stale. Comparing against what I can see in the CU logs indicates that the user is in roughly the same part of the same country. I can say that Pr0pulsion 123 is  Confirmed to Xtreme o7 - since those accounts have edited the same articles multiple times, I have no problem blocking, but I'm just going to tag as suspected to this case. 103.244.173.68 was already blocked earlier by Ponyo per Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/NomanPK44/Archive#12_October_2022.

Both Altay74 and 103.244.173.68 are tag team edit warring at Operation Desert Hawk.

Altay74 is Nomanpk44 and was created only after last SPI.

Just like earlier socks, he is also disrupting infobox of Siege of Skardu.[21][22] Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 16:56, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@77.75.179.1: Source falsification, lack of notability, etc. are the problems with these creations. The sock is now blocked. Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 04:37, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Barkeep49, Beeblebrox, Cabayi, CaptainEek, Enterprisey, GeneralNotability, Izno, L235, Primefac, SilkTork, Wugapodes, Guerillero, Moneytrees, and Opabinia regalis: Girth's "they're in the same country" with a population of 240 million people with 21% of the population or 50.4 million people using internet "so I guess it's possible that it's the same person" just doesn't cut it. The Fixed Local Line subscribers of PTCL is reported at 2.4 million. So blocking someone merely because they live in Pakistan and use PTCL has now become a common occurrence at SPI. Please know that PTCL users don't have a static IP but a dynamic IP. There has been too many collateral in these false positive cases. This needs to stop. 17:18, 26 September 2023 (UTC)

  • I'm blocking the IP for a year, on the basis of it previously having been blocked with regards to this case, and engaging in obvious 'doing the same stuff' editing. Altay74 looks a lot more like Pr0pulsion 123 than socks from this case, technically. They've been confused with socks from this case in the past, and they're in the same country so I guess it's possible that it's the same person who has access to a different set of networks and uses different accounts, but based on the habitual ranges each of them uses I'm more inclined to think that it's two different but like-minded people (who may know each other). Either way, I'm blocking Altay74 as a sock of Pr0pulsion 123.
  •  Clerk assistance requested: - please could you consider whether any of this report needs merging elsewhere? Sorry, it's a bit of a mess - the case for Pr0pulsion 123 is Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/سب_سے_بڑی_گڑبڑ. Girth Summit (blether) 19:55, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Moved from NomanPK44 to سب سے بڑی گڑبڑ. Dual-tagged. Note that these accounts are blocked as sockpuppets of Pr0pulsion 123, not NomanPK44. Note that Akaspo was added to the case after the CU check [29], and was blocked as suspected independently based on behavioral similarity and not technical data. Closing. Filing SPI here because Pr0pulsion 123's userpage suspects them to be a sock belonging to this SPI.

The suspected sockmaster is back to abusing this IP range for making the same edits as above[30] and making other similarly repitive edits[31][32] after getting blocked on his another IP range by Materialscientist.

Both IP ranges are abused by this sockmaster as clear with these edits:[33][34]

Some of it's IPs are already blocked for block evasion such as this by Girth Summit.

Kindly block this range too. Ratnahastin (talk) 11:52, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
