Maxt

  • Code letter:— (Disruptive "throwaway" account used only for a few edits)

User:Maxt seems to be pursuing to start an edit war by repeatedly changing the Disk encryption software page to remove a particular subsection (Windows/PocketPC) beneath Disk encryption software#Cross-Platform.

This change has been extensively discussed on Talk:Disk encryption software, and marked with the {{disputed}} template to show that he is disputing it - which he is also removing, despite the apparent consensus to keep this subsection. (See [1] for version prior to his reverts)

I suspect both User:Adm30 and User:Bcode as being possible sock puppets as they have been created within the last day, both of which have almost immediately jumped onto the talk page supporting his POV which; a) opposes the consensus on the talk page, and b) does not follow already established precedent in Wikipedia (that the PocketPC is a separate platform to Windows; see Windows software and PocketPC software).

This article gets relatively few edits anyone other than a handful of users, and the chances of two new users jumping onto it at the same time to support a view which only one person maintains seem relatively suspicious to say the least.

The only other edits carried out by these users are to create a Sentry 2020 page, which they are both carrying out opposing edits to which, again given the popularity of this type of software, I suspect is the beginnings of a straw man to deflect attention and make these users appear more legitimate in order to bolster his arguments on the Talk page

Repeated reverts by Maxt include:
