Nongermane Amendments

A lawmaker proposing to add a rider to a bill through an amendment during debate is indeed a nongermane amendment, but it is not mentioned at target; it is mentioned at Filibuster in the United States Senate but not described or defined. Given the incorrect capitalization and use of the plural, with related forms such as Nongermane amendment, Nongermane amendments, and Nongermade Amendment not existing, and there being no incoming links, deletion may be best. Alternatively, add a sourced mention somewhere and create the other versions of this term as redirects. Mdewman6 (talk) 23:39, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Previous edit summary shows this redirect was only made to fix a redlink. Whatever page that redlink was on, the link could've been edited to target to that page instead. Also not sure how an incomplete sentence/phrase like this could be printworthy. Colgatepony234 (talk) 23:28, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

While I can see where this is coming from- a bill with a bunch of unrelated amendments mixed in becoming like a salad- there is no use of this term on enwiki, and a quick google search solely brings up hits related to actual salads. Suggest deletion unless it can be demonstrated this is an actual term used in reliable sources (and duly mentioned). Mdewman6 (talk) 23:27, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the redirect title is considered the act in the target page, but I do not see any other redirects besides this one that have the same format "having sex with X animal". Colgatepony234 (talk) 23:11, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously? I could see an anatomical justification for this one, but I'm probably biased after scrolling through several related entries to this general topic. I guess this one is open for discussion, but I'm thinking delete as a highly unlikely search term. TNstingray (talk) 22:53, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@TNstingray: I agree that this redirect isn't very useful: this is just one of a few redirects about comparative anatomy that I created several years ago. I most likely created it by mistake, since this section doesn't mention the topic at all. Jarble (talk) 00:44, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete The word penis appears nowhere in the article goat (and the word goat appears nowhere in the article penis). Without any content about this subject there's no point in a redirect. * Pppery * it has begun... 03:31, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

At least two other potential targets (the Dorand AR and the Dorand State Forest). This one should probably just be disambiguated. ThadeusOfNazereth(he/him)Talk to Me! 20:19, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Another thought to consider: Emile's son, René Dorand, has five mentions in Wikipedia, and is a contender for his own article, which is why I redlinked him in the Emile Dorand article. Lestocq (talk) 18:11, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If this is still about the disambiguation page, see WP:REDDAB. As the mentions are in multiple articles, it would be best to wait for Rene to have his standalone article, (or a redirect, which doesn't look a possibility). Jay 💬 20:48, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Retarget to Peter James' suggested target and hatnote the state forest from there. There are two "Dorand" sections at List of aircraft (Df-Dz), probably they can be made sub-sections and brought under a single Dorand section. Jay 💬 06:35, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This seems like an inappropriate target for such a broad topic. Clause (disambiguation) suggests the best target would be Provision (contracting), but that stub is specific to contracts and still does not encompass the wide ranging use of the phrase. Perhaps a better target can be identified (the term appears ~100 times in enwiki), but regardless, the status quo certainly doesn't seem ideal. Mdewman6 (talk) 20:46, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delete to make way for a WP:BCA to which Provision (contracting) can be merged. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 23:51, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Driving in Madagascar#Roads. Jay 💬 09:11, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This currently targets a section in Transport in Madagascar that no longer exists (though it could be pointed to the section on "roadways" fairly easily). I'm bringing this here because there exists a List of roads in Madagascar, and I think that this topic would better direct to the dedicated list article about roads in Madagascar rather than the general article on transportation in the island nation. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 23:32, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
