target is not synonymous, suggest delete or redirect to chicken Petecarney (talk) 20:05, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep a Google search of "Chicken Supreme" + Kiev yields 1500 hits, including several that explain that "Chicken Supreme" was the original name of the dish that is now more commonly known as Chicken Kiev, [1], for example. B.Wind (talk) 23:04, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment, The Google statistics quoted above are not relevant. Any web page mentioning both Chicken Supreme and Chicken Kiev, as does this page, would appear in that 1500 total. The site mentioned does not meet WP:VR requirements. The source of the confusion is surely the fact that the French for Chicken Kiev is "des suprêmes de poulet à la Kiev" which translates as "fillets of chicken in the Kiev style". So Rogerb67 is right that the meaning is simply "chicken breast". Googling "des suprêmes de poulet" reveals many other "à la" variations which are not Chicken Kiev. I can also find many recipies entitled Chicken Supreme which include a creamy sauce, which is the primary meaning to me. Either way, nothing to do with chicken with butter in the centre. • "Chicken Supreme" certainly has many other meanings than Chicken Kiev - a redirect to chicken is probably the best, unless someone wants to write a disambiguation page with all the different recipes. — sjorford++ 15:00, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Chicken Supreme and Chicken Kiev are two totally different dishes, if my childhood memories serve me well. The first is chicken in a creamy sauce, the second is chicken breast wrapped around garlic butter and coated in breadcrumbs. If Sir Jamie says so then it must be so. pushthebutton | go on... | push it! 19:25, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Declined speedy nomination. Reason was, "there is no need for this redirect page at all. This is not the title of the subject." SchuminWeb (Talk) 15:25, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete I looked this up on Google and there is no significant evidence that this is an alternate name for the film. LetsdrinkTea 20:06, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedily delete. I previously tagged this article for deletion. Why was it declined? This title has nothing to do with what it redirects to. Asal is the original name of the movie and "Asal The Original" was made by another author for some unknown reason, which happens to be the exact same content as in Asal. For that reason I tagged the article for a speedy deletion. --Eelam StyleZ (talk) 21:29, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
