  • No Freedom of Panorama inside a US museum.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:25, 6 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Animals aren't copyrightable, and even if they were, this one was "published" in 1917, so the subject is PD-US. Even if you consider it a sculpture by the taxidermist, it's quite safe to assume that this is a case of PD-US-no notice, since the taxidermy was "published" in the 1930s, and nobody puts copyright notices on stuffed animals. The thing on her back, whatever it is, combines a centuries-old motif with a few other items in an unoriginal way. I suppose you might be able to make a copyright claim related to the bust (reflection, far right) or the locomotive model (far left), but they're quite obviously de-minimis, and anyway they could be cropped out without substantial effect on the dog. The result of the discussion was: Deleted. Other images show it to be a 3d subject but it's too new to be PD. Deleted by Nthep (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA)

Its a 3d image, as the mural is a a 3d object...There are other coal miners memorials in the US on Wikipedia, can you tell me why those are here???Coal town guy (talk) 00:56, 7 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
What about [THIS] or [THIS] or [THIS]Coal town guy (talk) 01:24, 7 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I searched [HERE] and found NO copyright Bottom line, give a clear guideline and it will be followed. Otherwise I did remove it from the articleCoal town guy (talk) 02:01, 7 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, its 3d, if it were 2 d it would not have depth, you got this one correct. Bottom line, give a clear guideline and it will be followed. Otherwise I did remove it from the article. Although I have researched the copyright data, there is NONE. Coal town guy (talk) 00:58, 7 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I searched HERE and found NO copyright. Also, the Bartley memoril is from 1940, it predates 1978 by some years, YES???Coal town guy (talk) 02:02, 7 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you don't put the creation date and add the appropriate PD license (the CC license only refers to your photo, you need to add the license for the object), then it tends to get flagged up. As for the others....
  1. Thanks - Nominated for deletion - can't find them all myself
  2. Too old - out of copyright http://siris-artinventories.si.edu/ipac20/ipac.jsp?session=1YU94919716V5.229&profile=ariall&source=~!siartinventories&view=subscriptionsummary&uri=full=3100001~!335180~!33&ri=1&aspect=Keyword&menu=search&ipp=20&spp=20&staffonly=&term=Ludlow&index=.GW&uindex=&aspect=Keyword&menu=search&ri=1
  3. In Trinidad - same Freedom of Panorama as UK - outside sculptures allowed.

Well golly, If you mean to tell me, that I also need to research/find the PD license for the object as well as give consent for the photo, then you can rest assured I will never ever ever contribute a memorial photo again because I have yet to see any guideline given about this which is clearly stated on Wikipedia. Its supposed to be enjoyable, at this time, thanks to the clear cut and razor fine definitions, its not. See, this is why its such a joy to be a part of a project where guidelines and rules are so arcane, it just sucks any joy or definition of clarity all away. A tip of the hat here in gratitude, I assure you. The best part is the way in which the subject is brought up, anyone a anytime just says, hey, this is a copyright violation. Then everyone gets the joy of not only finding the place, we also get to look even more about the possibility that the tag may or may not be accurate. I just cant tell you what a shot in the arm that is for a voluntary effort. Coal town guy (talk) 20:22, 7 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
