Wikipedia:WikiProject Outlines/Drafts/Outline of recreation (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

A broad broad dictionary word. Unsuitable for an outline. Recreation organizations would be a huge list of topics just for sports. "What type of thing is recreation?" is a weird question with no logical answer. Legacypac (talk) 01:44, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep – Being a broad concept topic is actually a good rationale for retaining the page, rather than deleting it. I have copy edited the draft a bit for organization. Can easily be expanded from Category:Recreation. Regarding the notion of "recreation" being a dictionary word, the nominator here could nominate the recreation article for deletion per WP:DICDEF, but I seriously doubt the article would be deleted at AfD under this notion. It is fine to have a page about the topic, and list pages about portions of the broad topic, but an outline on this is going to be unwieldy. Legacypac (talk) 02:16, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Unwieldly isn't really a valid reason to delete, though. For example, if the page were to become very long, it could split, as per WP:SIZERULE. Also, various topical aspects can easily be organized using sections, to ease reading. North America1000 04:55, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
MfD should not scope-creed to WikiProject Management. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 23:25, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
