Old incubator draft. Seems to have missed during this MFD. I don't know about outlines and whether there's interest in working on this but given the passage of time, it would require a lot of rework. Ricky81682 (talk) 04:36, 28 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

• WP:Outlines was a quite sensible idea, proposal, and even active project, mostly driven by User:The Transhumanist, to network, index, and structurally organize mainspace articles. It was particularly justified by the obvious failure, back then, of Portal Space. There was resistance, battles even, especially over the concern that Outline articles were duplicating List articles. There is a lot of significant history there, and I am sure much useful to be learned, Portal Space is still mostly moribund, and the current fashion for single box unstructured search engine functionality may not last forever.

Leaning Keep everything in Wikipedia:WikiProject Outlines. Archive as required to prevent any possible confusion, although I think that to be unlikely. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 09:57, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • @DGG and SmokeyJoe: Looking over Wikipedia:WikiProject Outlines/Drafts and given Wikipedia:Article_Incubator#Time_limit and the third disallowed used of subpages, would people at least support moving this to Draft:Outline of conservatism? I've made a post at the project talk page but the project is largely inactive now. Hesitate to agree. Although "Outlines" exist throughout mainspace, their introductions to mainspace were controversial, both supported and opposed by many. I may not be up to date, but I think the controversy died through disengagement. Moving these drafts may be read as encouraging resumption of expansion of Outline articles. Alternatively, maybe the Wikiproject would be archived. The controversy is in hibernation, I suggest Wikipedia:Don't poke the bear. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 01:33, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think they've been accepted now--and I personally think they are an excellent idea. If someone disagrees, it can always be nominated for deletion at AfD,and then it will be taken to Deletion Review and if necessary to a RfC yoconfirm what I think is the general consensus.
