The result of the discussion was: Speedy close, april fool's nom, non-admin closure. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 02:07, 2 April 2020 (UTC) Admin note: Close endorsed. If this is a serious nomination the nominator needs to let me know. Primefac (talk) 17:28, 2 April 2020 (UTC) Update: nominator said nomination is serious but left it to my discretion whether to re-open. I find it rather unlikely that the sentiments will change if re-opened. Primefac (talk) 14:39, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Donald Trump (2nd nomination) (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Same issues as Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Donald Trump (3rd nomination), but even more troublesome with an outright call for a Presidential assassination on it (which is far from funny). Recommend deleting this and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Donald Trump as well. PCHS-NJROTC (Messages)Have a blessed day. 18:50, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - Wasn't aware of the offending words which I've redacted, The AFD was funny at the time and should continue to be kept as part of the April Fools history. Ofcourse April Fools should never be an excuse to ignore BLP never but now the offending words have been removed I see no reason to delete. –Davey2010Talk 18:54, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. For basically the same reason as Davey2010. If it was intended as a joke, and all the BLP violations have been removed, I don't see why this can't be kept. epicgenius (talk) 18:57, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • (edit conflict) Meh. I deleted the 3rd nomination that was created today because everyone, even the creator, seemed to agree it was in bad taste and clearly just a rehash of old jokes. However, these two from 2018 and 2016 are "old history" and are thus less problematic. I'm less inclined to delete them, seeing as they are not less funny than the hundreds of other unfunny joke AfDs we've tolerated over the years. Mz7 (talk) 18:57, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • speedy keep and trout the nom. I hate April Fool's day jokes but this has been here for 2 years and relevant violations have long since been removed. Praxidicae (talk) 18:58, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy keep and trout the nom per Praxidicae. This is tedious. Chris Troutman (talk) 20:03, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
