This is an archived copy of disputed article content that has remained in userspace for 1 and a half years without improvement, or indeed edits of any sort. Violates WP:UP#NOT WP:UP#COPIES. --MastCell Talk 23:54, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Which of the 15 WP:UP#NOT point(s) are being violated? --Marc Kupper|talk 04:13, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry; that should be WP:UP#COPIES. Corrected. MastCell Talk 04:31, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • DeleteKeep per WP:UP#COPIES - the page was created 19 Jan 2008 in the middle of an edit battle (not quite a war...). I don't feel like decoding the battle fully but it appears there were threats of deletion, possible deletion, userfying, others attempting to have the userfied page(s) deleted, an ANI, etc. The page was edited for a few minutes and then abandoned.

One comment is that as it's an abandoned page is that I would have first left a message asking if he would voluntarily CSD U1 the page as it's both WP:UP#COPIES and has not been worked on for over six months meaning it's far out of sync with the parent article. I know he stopped editing in May but it's possible he's on summer break from school and will be back soon. That would have involved less overhead than an MFD plus is in line with WP:Editors matter. --Marc Kupper|talk 06:43, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • Changed to Keep as I was reading over WP:EM again and would much rather do the voluntary CSD U1 approach. The copy is already hatted as a user page meaning the odds are low someone would confuse this with the mainspace article. Despite the edit warring and blocks the user has demonstrated that he/she is willing to work with other editors. --Marc Kupper|talk 07:18, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
      • Can't say I've seen that - their last appearance involved edit-warring and breaching a 1RR restriction. After being warned for the umpteenth time about edit-warring on this topic, they have not edited since. I'm fine with a note on the talk page, but assuming there is no response I think this is long, long past the point where it violates WP:UP#COPIES. School breaks don't last a year and half. MastCell Talk 18:07, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
        • I sent the user an e-mail asking for the WP:CSD#U1 if he/she no longer has a use for the user-space sub-pages. The user stopped editing 19 May 2009 which is just over three months ago. That's why I made the school break comment. --Marc Kupper|talk 09:32, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - If they'd like to work on this article, then they'd probably want to work based on the current live version anyway. This is more than enough time to let a disputed content fork lay around in userspace. Gigs (talk) 03:55, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
