User:KevinOKeeffe/ThePhora

Long term parking of an "article" in user space - since August 2010. No WP article 'ThePhora' currently exists, but this user page is masquerading as an article, and may well be accepted as an article by readers unaware that it is not an article as defined by WP. It seems that this page is an attempt to avoid an article on The Phora being subject to NPOV and wikification, while still having a form of wikipedia article that appears high up in google results. User page history also shows that the article has been edited over time as if it were an article.

It is detrimental to WP for such material to be accepted, quoted and linked to by readers under the assumption that it is an article, when it does not in fact meet WP article standards.

Relevant WP guidance on user pages that look like articles.

I have not attempted to move the material to an article space, as I'm not convinced of the notability of the subject, and as it appears (via google) that the material is inaccurate, outdated, incomplete and possibly misleading.

Additionally, I would advise anyone attempting to move the material to an article space, to note that WP article The_Phora has already been successfully nominated for deletion twice, failing notability guidelines (WP:WEB, WP:GNG). The material on this user page is similar to The_Phora article on metapedia.org (cannot link, as metapedia.org is blacklisted by WP). Centrepull (talk) 10:30, 25 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per WP:FAKEARTICLE. This is an article on a subject which has been deleted twice at AFD, and doesn't appear to have become any more notable since, so it isn't going to make it into mainspace any time soon. Additionally the creator doesn't seem to be doing any work on it. Copies of deleted content cannot be kept in userspace indefinitely. Robofish (talk) 16:33, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
