5 year abandoned YAMB Legacypac (talk) 15:35, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Of course YAMB applies to this page. But how about WP:NOTAWEBHOST for a page on your WP:YAMB that has been abandoned for 5 years and will never be promoted to mainspace and should not be indefinitely kept in the stale userspace of a long gone user. User:SmokeyJoe will be along to comment on the applicability of WP:YAMB Legacypac (talk) 07:00, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Which of the 9 specific points raised in WP:YAMB apply to this subject? VQuakr (talk) 07:08, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

(Edit conflict)

  • Lots of unsourced, promotional statements ("One of the hottest bands in the scene today" or "The East Coast's premier [add obscure genre] band") (page is too short for this)
  • No albums released, or only a self-produced CD they gave to their friends or make available free online; (Here they are giving away albums online for free. [1]]

Not signed to any label; (check. they have a couple EPs - the label is not notable [2] and based in a place with 75 people.)

  • Only play at minor local venues, such as local bars and restaurants; (check - according to their website "Ruin/Renewal has performed throughout Boston area, including such venues as TT the Bear’s Place and the Worcester Palladium. The band has also performed at numerous venues in New York, including Arlene’s Grocery, Lit Lounge, and the Trash Bar. In 2011, they performed as part of the O+ Festival in Kingston, New York.")
  • Written by the band, which is generally (likely, or maybe their "label")
  • Made up entirely of teenagers; (appears they started as teens, but are not now) and
  • The only "sources" supporting the notability of the band are Myspace pages, Facebook pages and user-edited websites and fansites (Check - sourced to their label website, which is not updated "Ruin/Renewal’s follow-up, Chess Club EP (due May 2012, Burst & Bloom Records)" a link to the private studio they used and the bands dead website.
  • the last point talks about a RS unrelated to the band (Not provided)

The evidence points to a band that created an EP in June 2011 in a private studio, got a little explicitly local radio play in Dec 2011 and played a few clubs and a grocery store, before breaking up before May 2012 when the next release was due. This page was created between March 9-15, 2012 by a single purpose acct. [3]. An actual Myspace link is not required to be a Myspace band, but here it is [4] Given this evidence VQuakr are you prepared to vote delete? Legacypac (talk) 07:44, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
