User:CaroleHenson/List of HP in Victoria, BC (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

This is a user space draft that was copied over to a mainspace draft from the original main article List of historic places in Victoria, British Columbia. The original article was first edited in September 2012, and the user space draft from a different user was edited second also in September 2012. Can someone find out on this propose duplicated deletion by deleting this mainspace draft by avoid confusion? Steam5 (talk) 17:35, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Did you ask CaroleHenson (talk · contribs)? Looks like the purpose was to "save as a holding place - while work is being done to synch up numbers". --kelapstick(bainuu) 18:36, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep I do not see any good reason to delete it. The editor is in good standing. She has not been editing for a month - so what - maybe she has books on order, or is busy in real life. It is much too soon to delete this.--Toddy1 (talk) 20:53, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Toddy1, How bout the possibility to propose User:CaroleHenson/List of HP in Victoria, BC to be redirected to List of historic places in Victoria, British Columbia. Both lists are looked the same. Steam5 (talk) 21:02, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • Also, Toddy1, the titles between List of historic places in Victoria, British Columbia was created and the other title that I propose List of HP in Victoria, BC there is two abbreviated words HP stands for "historic places" and BC stands for British Columbia and the lists of places are the same. The original article is acceptable, but the shortened title from the mainspace draft from the user was unacceptable from the guidelines and policies that makes Wikipedian readers very confusing. • Editors are allowed to keep draft "sandbox" copies of articles in their own userspace as a way to test out changes that they might want to apply without affecting the real article in the meantime. It doesn't create confusion because no user is ever going to find their way to the sandbox draft when they're actually looking for the real one, and there are no rules about how sandbox pages can or can't be titled. So unless there's some evidence that she's actually trying to use it to plant false data or vandalize Wikipedia — and I don't see any — then there's no reason why this needs to be deleted. Keep unless there's a better reason to delete than this. Bearcat (talk) 07:40, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
