I feel that a meaningful dialogue might be had with SiobhanHansa, but Georgia guy may be more difficult.

What's going on?

... The details are on Man (talk). When I first read Man, I thought it was a major lacuna that

it opened with 'Man is a male human' without mentioning that the word has been and is used to include the female, much as 'goose' can just refer to the female, or to either sex. I am up against some people who refuse to accept this well-documented fact. I have offered various alternative wordings, which then get reverted.

I am bringing this to your attention as I am not happy with the status quo ante and revert wars could just get people banned without solving the problem.

What would you like to change about that?

... Well, someone needs educating. It could be me, but I doubt it as I have done my research.

Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?

While I have been preparing this case, the opening paragraph has remained static with a version with which I feel comfortable. I think we need to keep an eye on Man for a while though.
